I'm a huge fan of Hayao Miyazaki movies but this particular movie is without a doubt one of my favourites. Not only is it family friendly enough for my 4 and 10 year old sisters, the adults of the house can enjoy the delightful dashes of romance, the underlying humour and sarcasm and the all too relatable themes of war and corrupt power. The fact that it is set in a fantasy land of sorcerers, demons and interactive scarecrows just adds to its charm. Well it was two maybe three years ago that this particular anime movie was being shown in our local cinema. Advantages: Amazing animation and vibrant characters, a must-see-film in my book

First off, if you like fantasty movies, this one is definity for you. This was the first animated film by Miyazaki that I had seen. I thought I'd give it a go and was not dissapointed.
