Advantages: Positive message about saving rain forests
Disadvantages: Scary monster may be intense for very young children

My two kids (between ages of 4 and 9) loved this animated movie and would watch it over and over. It has lively music, an appealing story line about a fairy rebelling against the status quo, but then learning the important lesson of protecting her home and loved ones. Lots of loud, frightening scenes at the end which would definitely have frightened my son if he watched when he was 2 or 3. However, for kids between 5 and 10, I recommend this movie highly.
