Modern Day Mary Poppins?

Advantages: great family film
Disadvantages: probably only watch once

OK, so I'm nearly 23 but I've wanted to see this film since I saw it advertised when it was at the cinema. Not being able ton convince anyone that they too want to watch it I decided to watch it once lonely Saturday night. I had visioned a bit of a twist on Mary Poppins but this wasn't to be. I do not want to give away the plot. The film is aimed at children however I did enjoy it! It did have it's twists and turns and so the plot wasn't entirely ...
...of the film is but I wouldn't recommend letting young children watch it alone, anything about 8 or 10 will probably be fine on their own. This film had some great acting from Colin Firth but inparticular from Simon, the young boy. I'm sure I've seen him in something before but can't quite place what. Children will find the film funny and perhaps scary in parts but it's a non stop film with no scenes there just to fill. Great family film for a rainy ...

There is a Prisoner on the Loose

Advantages: great story and acting, excellent special effects
Disadvantages: Big chunks of the book missing again
