OK, so I'm nearly 23 but I've wanted to see this film since I saw it advertised when it was at the cinema. Not being able ton convince anyone that they too want to watch it I decided to watch it once lonely Saturday night. I had visioned a bit of a twist on Mary Poppins but this wasn't to be. I do not want to give away the plot. The film is aimed at children however I did enjoy it! It did have it's twists and turns and so the plot wasn't entirely ...
...of the film is but I wouldn't recommend letting young children watch it alone, anything about 8 or 10 will probably be fine on their own. This film had some great acting from Colin Firth but inparticular from Simon, the young boy. I'm sure I've seen him in something before but can't quite place what. ...I had'nt seen the first Madagascar film and thought I might find the second one confusing. But the film is clever yet straightforward so it doesn't matter if you haven't seen Mad1. Madagascar is a great family film, my younger brother and sister loved it, and even though I'm a lot older than them I really enoyed it as well. 101 Dalmatians in cartoon form is another Disney film which I had not seen so yet again hubby thought this was bad so we managed to buy it on DVD and last night as there was nothing on the TV again we decided to watch it.
