Advantages: Good price
Disadvantages: Takes to long to get you into the film

Review of Shrek (Animated) (DVD)

Hillarious and entertaining.

Advantages: Very funny, original and great voice overs!
Disadvantages: Some toilet humour and innuendos not suitable for younger children

...very good really but the Shrek Karaoke party is very very funny. We were rolling on the floor with laughter. Also the alternative interactive endings are good fun too. It kept us all entertained for quite a while. You are presented with several options and according to your choice an alternative end to the Shrek 2 is shown. Also watch out for the character interviews. Short but well worth you watching it. One oddity, the second DVD has only English ...

Great laughs,

Advantages: everything
Disadvantages: none

...the story line is basicly shrek and fiona have to go and stay in fionas fathers castle ( fionas father is the king by the way) because fionas dad gets sick and is about to die! Well anyway fiona and shrek or in this posh castle and shrek starts missing his dirty swamp because he is not made to be posh he just wants to be cosy and happy, so when fionas dad announces that shrek as to be the next king because their is no one else in line! so shrek starts ...
...creatures to go to war, Shrek goes on a mision to give the kingdom to the only other person that can rightfully own the castle but as he is leaving on the ship fiona announces that she is pregnant, i would recoment this film to all ages, its a barral of laughs personaly my best bit was when the pigs were in war and started roling about shouting its a pork roll lol it was great. ...

Review of Shrek - The Story Continues (3-D) (Animated) (DVD)

Good fun!

Advantages: Dialogue, cracking pace, excellent animation
Disadvantages: May not be suitable for children who are old enough to understand innuendo

...for adults as well and Ice Age 3 certainly delivered on that front. I've seen Ice Age2 on TV but not the first film and never in the cinema. On top of that this was a 3D show. Review of Ice Age 3 - Dawn Of The Dinosaurs (DVD)

"I thought you guys were extinct?"

Advantages: amazing picture quality, good fun for all the family!
Disadvantages: Cant think of any.

I bought my wife Ice Age 3 for Christmas. She asked for it. Can't say its my type of film, but being a loving husband I sat down and watched it with her anyway. The first thing that struck me, being a blu ray, is the amazing quality. Animated films and comic-esque outings (like the Simpsons) always take full advantage of the High Definition nature of blu ray and make a movie a pleasure for the eye to behold. Ice Age 3 is quite possibly the best example ...
...were apparently living below the ice and meeting a swash buckling weasel who helps save the day. All the while, we get to watch the fun adventures of the little chap chasing his acorn, that have been present in the past films. This time, there's a love interest!! Its quite a good watch and plenty of fun for all the family. The usual deleted scenes and such are present, I can't say I watched them though, sorry, but its not my cup-of-tea, as I said. ...
