Disadvantages: not the best series for a casual fan to buy, Muppet morsels can be annotying, no listing of episodes

Labyrinth- one of the most enchanting children's films ever made?

Advantages: Fun, imaginative family-friendly film, enchanting storyline, charming characters.
Disadvantages: Slighty gimmicky in places, stereotypically '80s'.

Jim Henson, as most of us know, is chiefly recognised for his puppetry and crazy protagnonists. His films are mainstream and child- friendly, and this fits nicely into that category. However, just because this is a mainstream production, doesn't mean to say it lacks charisma and charm, and it doesn't have a consistent yet surprising storyline. The Muppets come to London

Advantages: Magical muppet madness!
Disadvantages: Are you kidding? It's the Muppets!

OK, so here's the plot. It all starts in America - or is it Sesame Street? Kermit & Fozzie are 'twin brother' (!) reporters, and Gonzo a photographer. They manage to miss the biggest story around: right behind them, the enormous 'baseball diamond' is stolen from the English Lady Holiday. The hapless trio end up shipped off to England to find out who stole the diamond and, if possible, to get it back. Being Muppets, of course, they succeed, but not ...

Review of Muppets - The Great Muppet Caper (Special Edition) (DVD)

Labyrinth - David Bowie and Sarah Connelly - Loved it

Advantages: Very watchable with an strong feel good factor. All turns out right in the end
Disadvantages: None

I have owned this product on video for a number of years and love it. It awakens the imagination, has characters you can relate to and an excellent soundtrack. Although not a true David Bowie fan, he is at his best here as the Goblin King. Sarah is a teenager whose mother has died and her father has remarried to a step-mother she resents although the step-mother is not of the usual "wicked" variety, and Sarah now has a young baby brother - Toby. ...
...has inherited from her late mother and her resentment grows when she is left at home to watch the baby when her father and step-mother go for an evening out. It is a dark stormy night and the baby will not stop crying. Sarah wishes the goblins would come and take the child away and guess what....
