Having always enjoyed the books about Cinderella, i always wanted it on video or dvd. Thankfully my husband managed to get them for me on dvd last year. I was really happy when i got them, i sat down with my eldest daughter of nine and youngest 2 and watched them. The animation is outstanding for its time and the restoration of it brings a whole new life to it. I'm sure all girls and women know the story of Cinderella. I'd be surprised if they didn't. ...

Pocahontas is a film of the calibre that Disney should aspire to when choosing their next disastrous P-C fest...*cough* High School Musical *cough* The musical score is incredible, the charcters and their motives believable and for once, the fact that it was a children's film did not mean it had to have talking animals and a happily ever after. The soundtrack alone makes the movie one of the most lyrical and spiritual of all Disney's classic works ...
...wonderful - the meeting of Pocahontas & John Smith in the mist particularly stands out for me... that and the end scne... you really feel as though you are running along that clifftop. Judy Kuhn's (Pocahontas) singing voice is wonderful, and Menken & Schwarz have played a blinder with - no question- the best Disney soundtrack that there has ever been...and ever will be. ...thinks that either or both Anastasia & Thumbelina are Disney productions THINK AGAIN! Anastasia is a 20th Century Fox production, whilst Thumbelina comes from Warner Brothers. Now that I have that little bugbear out of the way, we are free to continue. The combination of an imaginatively choreographed ghostly ballroom chorus dancing with Russian Royalty accompanied by moving lyrics and an appearance from the Czar himself… What could be more magical?
