Great boxset!

Advantages: Convenient to keep them together. Great prices around.
Disadvantages: Individual boxes smaller than normal.

In my opinion this boxset (bought for £17 from HMV) was great value. It was much cheaper than buying all individually. I only had one of the movies on dvd and had the earlier ones on VHS so I needed an update. All five parts are great quality films! It's handy that all five come in separate boxes within the one cover because they won't get lost. Each individual box is smaller than the normal DVD box size and perhaps this is worth noting. ...for family viewing although it is worth bearing in mind that the films seem to get a bit more scary as they progress (number 5 is particularly scary). Parental guidance is reccommended if buying this movie for very young children. In my opinion the violence and fear-factor is mild-to-moderate but is no worse than a lot of movies nowadays. I do wonder what will happen when the sixth movie is released on dvd and whether a new boxset will be available ...

Review of Harry Potter - Years 1-5 (Box Set) (DVD)

Tim Burton is A Class

Advantages: Interesting characters, expertly created
Disadvantages: Songs can get stuck in your head

As much as I love the film I think you miss out on so much if you do not read the books as there is so much more detail in them that I think the film is lacking. Review of Harry Potter And The Prisoner Of Azkaban (DVD)

The sky DID fall!

Advantages: Fish & breakdancing porcupine in end credits
Disadvantages: Goes on a bit to long

...was the entire point of Chicken Little's story (it's basically a misunderstanding on his part) so exactly what are they going to do with the remaining 1 hour and 19 minutes? Some of the jokes in the background (a bird flying into a window, a bull running a china shop) are going to go unnoticed (it seems you'll have to buy this one on DVD and watch it several times, most likely the commentary will point that kind of thing out). ...but was there to set Chicken Little back to not a loser any more only to screw up in people's minds again, when another stop sign shaped object falls from the sky and hits him in the head. This getting hit in the head all the time can't be good for his brain, can it? When the "invisible thing" kidnaps Fish & leads them to the baseball ground (someone's seen "Close Encounters" and Cruise's "War Of The Worlds" then?) it proves to be aliens invading. ...

Review of Chicken Little (DVD)

It's halloween Family film but not for children!

Advantages: Nice, Adventure, Action, FANTASY, Comedy with the Oslen Twins
Disadvantages: scary for the youngers

This is a scary movie(spells, witches, wizards) not due to the Halloween content, but because two little girls run away from home, talk to a stranger (a man who lives under a bridge, then they go into another stranger's house ( a dwarf male clown). Although these fellows turn out to be nice guys, we all know that this doesn't always happen in the real world. This movie is a bad message for kids who are supposed to be learning not to talk to strangers ...
...tho, I have seen this film a lots of times (I'm 19) because I like the adventure. This is the best film that the Oslen Twins have filmed when they were youny, I believe! I think they where cute and nice when they were kids, now they are in my age 19 years old and they look and act like they are 30! Anyway i'll continue with the movie... The twin's family are in financial trouble and might have to sell their house, but young twins, Kelly and Lynn ...
