Review of Happy Feet (Blu-Ray)

Do not buy this for the 3D version

Advantages: 2D version is fantastic
Disadvantages: 3D version is terrible

...I am specifically concentrating on the Blu-ray version, which shows the movie in either 2D or 3D. Review of The Polar Express 3D (Blu-ray And DVD) (Blu-ray)

A return to form for the little green guys.

Advantages: A change in direction for the turtles. Good CGI and more grittier action.
Disadvantages: Not quite enough action.

...first thing to mention about TMNT 2007 is that the entire film is done using CGI (Computer Generated Imagery). Almost all films with special effects utilise CGI at some point but not many films are created from 100% CGI (Final Fantasy is another example). This does NOT mean that the film's quality is reduced in anyway. Infact, my personal opinion is that they actually look a lot better than some actors dressed in turtle suits! Not to give too much ...

Review of TMNT (Blu-ray)

Good fun!

Advantages: Dialogue, cracking pace, excellent animation
Disadvantages: May not be suitable for children who are old enough to understand innuendo

Review of Ice Age 3 - Dawn Of The Dinosaurs (DVD)

"I thought you guys were extinct?"

Advantages: amazing picture quality, good fun for all the family!
Disadvantages: Cant think of any.

I bought my wife Ice Age 3 for Christmas. She asked for it. Can't say its my type of film, but being a loving husband I sat down and watched it with her anyway. The first thing that struck me, being a blu ray, is the amazing quality. Animated films and comic-esque outings (like the Simpsons) always take full advantage of the High Definition nature of blu ray and make a movie a pleasure for the eye to behold. Ice Age 3 is quite possibly the best example ...
...were apparently living below the ice and meeting a swash buckling weasel who helps save the day. All the while, we get to watch the fun adventures of the little chap chasing his acorn, that have been present in the past films. This time, there's a love interest!! Its quite a good watch and plenty of fun for all the family. The usual deleted scenes and such are present, I can't say I watched them though, sorry, but its not my cup-of-tea, as I said. ...
