shrek movie review
Advantages: Good price Disadvantages: Takes to long to get you into the film
...hulk and now its shrek. Shrek is fun for all the family as it provides humour for the all ages. With jokes of a farting nature and some jokes with double entembre's which may be interpretated in a sexual nature. Sherk subdues many of the characters as what is excepted of each charachter is changed. This adds to the reason why this is such a great movie. It is an adaptation of the book by william steig. The movie provides a different but original ...

A Good Sequal
Advantages: Just as funny as the First, Easy to follow story Disadvantages: Not really for small children, although they will laugh.
...good, if not better.
Shrek continues to be the Loveable Ogre that we know and love, but becomes frustrated at the prospect of meeting his In-Laws. Anyway, they set off to the Land of Far Far Away with Donkey in tow. Of course Fiona's parents are unaware that their daughter and new Husband are Ogre's. The atmosphere is rather akward. The Dinner scene is Hilarious. Fiona's Dad sets a plan to get rid of Shrek, which of course doesn't quite go to plan. ... ...first, but when nothing happens Shrek drinks the rest, and hopes for the best.
The next morning with appearances changed they all set off to find Fiona. Fiona has been tricked into thinking that Prince Charming is Shrek. Prince Charming is the Son of the Fairy Godmother who makes all the potions in the Land. The Fairy Godmother traps Shrek and gets him put in Jail. This is where his friends from the Swamp come to the rescue.
After this it is a ...

Hillarious and entertaining.
Advantages: Very funny, original and great voice overs! Disadvantages: Some toilet humour and innuendos not suitable for younger children
...very good really but the Shrek Karaoke party is very very funny. We were rolling on the floor with laughter. Also the alternative interactive endings are good fun too. It kept us all entertained for quite a while. You are presented with several options and according to your choice an alternative end to the Shrek 2 is shown.
Also watch out for the character interviews. Short but well worth you watching it. One oddity, the second DVD has only English ... ...is now happily married to Shrek and they are invited to a celerbation in "Happy Ever After" where their parents are King and Queen. Antonio Banderas does a fine voice over for Puss-In-Boots who is an Ogre Killer, or is he is really just a cuddly cat? Shrek must fight against the Fairy Godmother and her son Prince charming who are aiming to split Shrek and Fiona up and so take the Kingdom over.
I don´t particularly like the innuendos as it is a U ...

Open Your Heart to Open Season
Advantages: The minor characters are really quite funny Disadvantages: The plot is formulaic and the main characters aren't as funny as they think they are.
Relatively overlooked animated films seem to be catching my attention this week. "Open Season" was released in 2006 by Sony Pictures Animation which also brought us "Surf's Up" and "Monster House". In the age of 3D animation mega-films such as Shrek, Ice Age, Monsters Inc, anything by Pixar, these films rather fell by the wayside. My husband and I saw "Open Season" on television on a trip to visit my parents in Canada and were amused enough to actually ... ...my husband was buying something he really wanted). While the film is fairly formulaic and clichéd there are one or two bits that we reference regularly in our house, but more on that later on. THE PREMISE The star of the film is a grizzly bear named, Boog (voice by Martin Lawrence) who performs for crowds with his caregiver, Beth (Debra Messing), a park ranger and lives in her garage along with his teddy bear. Boog enjoys fishy crackers and the Teddy ...

The lion, the witch, the wardrobe and its review
Advantages: Great story, wonderful scenery and fantastic visual effects Disadvantages: The additional footage seems a tad pointless
...fit of boredom, what with the rain and everything, I decided to escape the dreary estate I live on and transport myself to another realm. Seeing as I do not own a TARDIS I settled for 'The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe'. Maybe not as interesting as seeing the crab nebula or travelling 'round in a box with a beautiful assistant but we can't have everything can we?
I am sure by now that everyone out there already knows ... ...never known nor cared about the story then this next bit is for you. Everyone else can skip this next paragraph.....
The film is the story of four children, Edmund, Lucy, Peter and Susan Pevensie, who are evacuated during the war and sent to live in a large house occupied by the eccentric professor Dicory Kirke and his housekeeper. During their long, boring days at the house the children pass the time by playing games and it is during hide and seek ...
