Review of Harry Potter - Years 1-5 (Box Set) (DVD)

Out of the toy box and into the barn

Advantages: Fun packed adventure; really witty; great development of characters, DVD special features
Disadvantages: None

Toy Story 2, released in 2000, is the sequel in the Pixar animation to Toy Story which was orginally released in 1995. I usually find that sequels are never as good as the first, mainly because you tend to loose some of the traits of characters, the plot seems quite desperate and overall, you feel like you aren't learning anything new about the characters at all. Review of Toy Story 2 (Special Edition) (DVD)

Good fun!

Advantages: Dialogue, cracking pace, excellent animation
Disadvantages: May not be suitable for children who are old enough to understand innuendo

Review of Ice Age 3 - Dawn Of The Dinosaurs (DVD)

"I thought you guys were extinct?"

Advantages: amazing picture quality, good fun for all the family!
Disadvantages: Cant think of any.

I bought my wife Ice Age 3 for Christmas. She asked for it. Can't say its my type of film, but being a loving husband I sat down and watched it with her anyway. The first thing that struck me, being a blu ray, is the amazing quality. Animated films and comic-esque outings (like the Simpsons) always take full advantage of the High Definition nature of blu ray and make a movie a pleasure for the eye to behold.
