...very good really but the Shrek Karaoke party is very very funny. We were rolling on the floor with laughter. Also the alternative interactive endings are good fun too. It kept us all entertained for quite a while. You are presented with several options and according to your choice an alternative end to the Shrek 2 is shown. Also watch out for the character interviews. Short but well worth you watching it. One oddity, the second DVD has only English ...

The lion, the witch, the wardrobe and its review

Advantages: Great story, wonderful scenery and fantastic visual effects
Disadvantages: The additional footage seems a tad pointless

Freedom!

Advantages: Good plot line that is suitable for adults and children

This is a very moving tale of a wild mustang fighting for his freedom in the 'wild west'. A really good piece of animation from Dreamworks. The best part is that there is no animals talking, instead the animal characters are defined and developed through the use of actual animal actions. The horses act like horses, the eagle like an eagle etc. This is a great film to watch with the family, good for both young children and adults as the storyline ...

Review of Spirit: Stallion Of The Cimarron (Animated) (DVD)

Good fun!

Advantages: Dialogue, cracking pace, excellent animation
Disadvantages: May not be suitable for children who are old enough to understand innuendo

...for adults as well and Ice Age 3 certainly delivered on that front. I've seen Ice Age2 on TV but not the first film and never in the cinema. On top of that this was a 3D show. Review of Ice Age 3 - Dawn Of The Dinosaurs (DVD)

"I thought you guys were extinct?"

Advantages: amazing picture quality, good fun for all the family!
Disadvantages: Cant think of any.

I bought my wife Ice Age 3 for Christmas. She asked for it. Can't say its my type of film, but being a loving husband I sat down and watched it with her anyway. The first thing that struck me, being a blu ray, is the amazing quality. Animated films and comic-esque outings (like the Simpsons) always take full advantage of the High Definition nature of blu ray and make a movie a pleasure for the eye to behold. Ice Age 3 is quite possibly the best example ...
...were apparently living below the ice and meeting a swash buckling weasel who helps save the day. All the while, we get to watch the fun adventures of the little chap chasing his acorn, that have been present in the past films. This time, there's a love interest!! Its quite a good watch and plenty of fun for all the family. The usual deleted scenes and such are present, I can't say I watched them though, sorry, but its not my cup-of-tea, as I said. ...
