When the first ice age came out i was like many people enthralled by the simplicity and yet complexity of this seemimgly child orientated film. The film has humour on many different levels allowing it to appeal to all generations. The characters were very original and became household names such as sid the sloth. ...The jokes a very similar to the prequel and while this is ok they do become a little repetiitve as does the overall plot. Its basically only a tiny bit different to the prequel and as a result does not have the same impact as the first film. I feel that had they put a little more effort into the plot then this film would have been a great movie. As it is... its not memorable! ... Read review

Disadvantages: Plot holes galore.

...like Alex Rover and as Nim's father. Bad things start to happen at the island and Nim reaches out for help to the one person she believes is a hero. The storyline was dissapointing and the plot holes were enormous, there were a few humorous scenes but that was all. Gerard Butler was okay but you wouldn't really cast him in a scientists role.
