Enchanting Enchanted
Advantages: Great fun for all the family Disadvantages: not long enough!
I firth watched this film when I sent my husband out to blockbusters to hire "Stardust" on DVD and he came back with "Enchanted" instead! I have been hooked ever since!
From a quick glance you would be forgiven for thinking this is a film just for children, especially little girls, but I have to say after watching it once, I even got my husband to admit he liked it!
It starts off in cartoon animation, with Giselle, living in the forest with her ... ...a giant ogre but is saved by handsome prince edward. They are about to live happily ever after until Edwards evil stepmother pushes her into a magical wishing well and she ends up in modern day new york. This is when the film turns into live action.
She is not treated very well by the busy New Yorkers and finds herself alone and lost until a lawyer named robert and his daughter take pity on her and help her. Meanwhile edward, helped by pip (Giselles) ...

Oliver Twist Review
Advantages: It wasn't to expensive Disadvantages: Its very long
Oliver Twist is a interesting film. It keeps you glued to your seets and its a film for all the family with bits of comedy and emotion. The film is about a young boy which is an orphan called oliver who is moved around to different orphanages regularly. As he grew up he was forced to work and live in a warehouse. Afterwards he ran from the warehouse and ended up in london, here he was found by a man called Fagan who took him him and taught him how ... ...the parts when Oliver is being taught and his character devepment during the movie. He grows in confidence and learns much from Fagan. Oliver twist is a long film and some of the story may be deemed boring for some of the audience. On the whole Oliver Twist is a fantastic production and was well worth the money i payed for it, I would recomend this dvd and the book to anyone. It has a fantastic opening and a fantastic ending and should be watchted ...

Enchanted's Enchantedly Enchanting
Advantages: Great cast. Great songs. Cleverly references other Disney films Disadvantages: There's a really annoying chipmunk
...on her way into an enchanted fountain, where there is no 'Happily Ever After'…and sends her to New York City (the REAL one, not an animated one), for if Giselle married her step-son, then Narissa would no longer be Queen! The fountain transforms Giselle into a real life human. So, she has to get back to the land of singing, animated animals, known as Andalasia…somehow…but how will she get there? Along the way she meets and 'enchants' a real life ... ...get weirder Prince Edward jumps into the fountain as guided by Pip, a talking chipmunk (no sign of Alvin, Simon or Theodore, thanks very much) to rescue his true love to make her Queen…But of course, the evil step-mother/Queen Narissa finds this out and sends her incompetent henchman, Nathaniel along to stop him…needless to say he doesn't manage it, so Queen Narissa needs to go herself. Amy Adams (Charlie Wilson's War) is stunning as Giselle. Her ...

Good fun!
Advantages: Dialogue, cracking pace, excellent animation Disadvantages: May not be suitable for children who are old enough to understand innuendo
...for adults as well and Ice Age 3 certainly delivered on that front. I've seen Ice Age2 on TV but not the first film and never in the cinema. On top of that this was a 3D show. The story essentially follows Manny, the mammoth, his heavily pregnant wife, Ellie and Diego, the sabre toothed tiger as they venture under the ice to a land where dinosaurs are not extinct. They do this to try and rescue Sid, who feeling unloved due to the impending arrival ... ...subsequently been carried off with his 'children' by their real mother. In dinosaur world they meet Buck, the weasel with the Sylvester Stallone eyepatch and knife, the British accent (Simon Pegg voices him) and the literary connections to Captain Ahab of Moby Dick (both have been left injured by 'the great white beast', both are unnaturally obsessed and slightly unhinged by it). As a sideline, Scratt is still seeking his acorn but this time there ...

"I thought you guys were extinct?"
Advantages: amazing picture quality, good fun for all the family! Disadvantages: Cant think of any.
I bought my wife Ice Age 3 for Christmas. She asked for it. Can't say its my type of film, but being a loving husband I sat down and watched it with her anyway. The first thing that struck me, being a blu ray, is the amazing quality. Animated films and comic-esque outings (like the Simpsons) always take full advantage of the High Definition nature of blu ray and make a movie a pleasure for the eye to behold. Ice Age 3 is quite possibly the best example ... ...were apparently living below the ice and meeting a swash buckling weasel who helps save the day. All the while, we get to watch the fun adventures of the little chap chasing his acorn, that have been present in the past films. This time, there's a love interest!! Its quite a good watch and plenty of fun for all the family. The usual deleted scenes and such are present, I can't say I watched them though, sorry, but its not my cup-of-tea, as I said. ...
