Third Best 'A Christmas Carol' film

Advantages: Looks very Christmassy, Well Directed
Disadvantages: The people look creepy

...for those who live in a hole or have dementia, A Christmas Carol is the story of Ebonezer Scrooge (Jim Carey) and is passage by fire from twisted, grumpy, old miser who hates Christmas to the very opposite (except he stays old). After the death of Scrooge's business partner, Scrooge has got even more miserable and spiteful than ever and everyone fears and avoids him. Even his sole employee, Bob Cratchet (Gary Oldman) lives in misery, not allowed ...
...this film is so fantastic a telling, this would merely enhance the tediousness of an overly told story but the computer generated recreation and the direction of this film make it wonderful to watch. It’s directed by Robert Zemeckis, the man responsible for The Polar Express and Beowulf . He uses the same sort of 3-D capturing here that he used in those films. Basically this is a technique were he captures the movements etc. of real actors and ...

NIGHT AT THE MUSEUM FILM ONLY REVIEW Night of the Museum is a 2006 film that was adapted from the 1993 children's book by Milan Trenc of the same name. When I saw the line up Ben Stiller, Robin Williams, Ricky Gervais, Steve Coogan, Owen Wilson and even old timers Dick Van Dyke and Mickey Rooney, I just knew that this was a film I wanted to watch. Night at the Museum opens with sad sack Larry Daley (Ben Stiller) about to need to relocate. ...
...he will become the new night guard. Cecil, Gus and Reginald (Dick Van Dyke, Mickey Rooney and Bill Cobbs) are the three aging and eccentric guards who are being downsized in favour of young Larry. What Larry doesn't know is that these three men have been holding down a considerably more complicated stronghold than anyone could have imagined after the sun goes down on the museum. Larry is about to find out that being a night guard is less about peace ...

Welcome To Lazy Town

Advantages: Great Fun and strong messages being sent to kids.
Disadvantages: None

For anyone that has kids would know about Lazy town and for anyone that does not have kids think your self's very lucky. The new kids show that has lively music that also is annoying and sticks in your head for days. You can't watch a show without singing to at least one song. Though the best thing about this kids show is that it helps towards eating healthy and bans junk food. Lazy Town Well for anyone that does not know by ...
...and about the characters. Lazy Town. For me this has to be one of the best shows that my kids watch. I like the fact that they are promoting healthy eating and getting active. Though don't except your kids to start eating fruit and veg immediately. My son does not and has not done since he was weaned. Though he has got a tad better in picking up the fruit. Anyway back to the review……… Lazy Town is a upside world with only having 3 human characters ...

A lengthy mystical adaptation

Advantages: Imaginatively filmed, some funny gags
Disadvantages: Painstakingly slow and some annoying characters

The Hogfather is a film based on a novel by Terry Pratchett. I've not read any of his books but generally like all things fantasy-based so decided to sky-plus this when it was on over the Christmas break. The Hogfather is a tale set in a mythical city called Ankh Morpork which is an important city in the DiscWorld. It is Hogswatch time (a winter festival in which gifts are exchanged, not unlike Christmas). The Hogfather - DiscWorld's equivalent of ...
...on Hogswatch Eve. However the Hogfather has a bounty on his head. Something or someone wants to end Hogswatch and much more. The Hogfather's colleague Death decides to take his role and delivers presents aided by his side-kick Albert who brings some much needed comedy to the situation. Whilst presents are being delivered Death's grand daughter Susan tries to save the day. Meanwhile Mr Teatime (pronounced Te-ah- timeh) captures the tooth fairy and ...

Santa Claus is comin' to town...again!

Advantages: Sweet, nice and christmassy, funny
Disadvantages: Nothing really for me

...fantastic and popular franchise, "The Santa Clause" trilogy. I realised last week I hadn't seen it so I reserved it at the library and sat down to watch it the other night, aiming to decide if it was worth an entry into my prized Christmas Collection, and after reading some reviews online, I wasn't too sure about it being much of a success! Scott Calvin has been Santa Claus for a long time now, and he loves his job in the North Pole working with ...
...ordered to spend time with Santa to make up for his many misdemeanours. But Jack Frost is only intent on one thing - stealing the Santa job for himself. Will Santa and his merry bunch of Elves clock on to Frost's evil ways and save the hopes of children everywhere, or is there going to be a new Santa in town come Christmas? Watch and find out! When I first saw the first Santa Clause movie many years ago, I loved it, and its become one of those films ...
