What a 'sweet' (groan) film

Advantages: Amazingly good film
Disadvantages: Its a little short

...here neither of them disappoint, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory is an absolute gem of a film. Brilliantly scripted, directed and acted. Johnny Depp’s bizarre and wonderful Willy Wonka has serious shades of Michael Jackson about him and he manages to create a character which appears to be almost child-like whilst at the same time have a very dark edge. Advantages: original version is cleaned up and presented in original black and white
Disadvantages: remake suffers greatly when presented with the original for comparison
