Ice Age will leave you with a warm feeling
Review of Ice Age DVD by reevo_the_great

Advantages: Everyone will enjoy this film so this makes the perfect DVD christmas present
Disadvantages: The third film comes out next year so we all have to wait

Ice Age is a light-hearted comedy that the whole family will enjoy. People of all ages can sit and enjoy every moment of this film, making it the perfect film for those Christmas Holiday afternoons with the whole family. Twenty thousand years ago, at the dawn of the Ice Age, three completely mismatched creatures creatures have been brought together by a twist of fate. Sid, the fast talking and comical Sloth, Manfred, a moody wooly mammoth, and Diego, ...
...boiling lava pits, escape treacherous ice tunnels and meet a prehistoric squirrel-rat named Scrat. Scrat offers a fantastic sub-plot to the storyline as he is the down-on-his-luck squirrel who is frantically trying to bury his beloved acorn. This has proved a very popular and extremely funny aspect to this film. Ice Age is a computer animated film released by 20th Century Fox and created by Blue Sky Studios. It was originally intended to be a 2D ... Read review

God..not another money making childrens film?
Review of Powerpuff Girls - The Movie (Animated) by Katie3410

Advantages: see review
Disadvantages: see review

While the series of ‘The powerpuff Girls’ is probably good, I can only see one reason they made this film adapted from the series of the same name. I never saw the point of making the film, until I experianced the masses and masses of franchise in a shop this film made (that shan’t be named). It was everywhere from books, bags, pencils, folders, notepads, dolls, lunchboxes the list goes on. Yes, it attracts to a lot of girls and seems fun to watch ...
...so my daughter can watch powerpuff girls, I would get a rather chilling look from him, as if to say what for. My daughter loves this film, but I can’t see the fascination, but I will try to look at it from her point of view as she and many children her age are the people this was made for. As I watched this film while doing my housework it seemed to have a hold on my daughter, as much of her programmes do (thank you T.V!) It did seem good, with bright ... Read review

ice age one
Review of Ice Age DVD by hardwoody

Advantages: it's funny
Disadvantages: none

Ice age is a film for young people, but I found it hilarious. The main characters are Sid (a sloth), Manfred (a mammoth), and Diego (a sabre-toothed tiger). As far as the Characters go Sid is the funniest. He hasn't got a clue, he is so funny. It's very well written by Chris Wedge. Not many animated films are funny, but this is not a normal animated film. Jonathan Ross quoted "a genuinely funny, smart and cleaver animated film is a rare thing, and ...
...to , you must see ice age one first. Special features is a must see. A little rat called Scrat. He is in the film a little, and if you liked him in the special features there is a mini film just for him, that also is very funny. This is a must see film. When I first look at it I thought "this is for kids" but a sat down and washed it. And I thought it was great. ... Read review

Worthy Third Installment
Review of High School Musical 3 - Senior Year DVD by katygriff

Advantages: Fun
Disadvantages: None

I love High School Musical and I saw the third one at the cinema last weekend now for the second time as I love it so much. It is the most fun and fantastic film and follows on from the first two very well due to its slightly more grown up feel and songs and dances. This review will hopefully tell you why this trilogy has been finished off perfectly with this fab third film. Story of this film is that it is senior year at East high school and everybody ...
...This film shows that the high school musical franchise is as strong as ever and the third installment still captures all of the Disney magic and once again leaves the audience wanting more. I have to say that this film is definitely one you should go and see if you want a couple of hours of pure fun. The film lasts for just under 2 hours which seems long but it goes by in a flash and as always with these films it is a Universal certificate. You ... Read review

The Care Bears care, do you care?
Review of Care Bears - The Movie/All Dogs Go To Heaven 2/Tom's Midnight Garden (Box Set) by marymoose99

Advantages: Only £2 per film, Care Bears are great!
Disadvantages: Not good version of Tom's Midnight Garden, No English on ADGTH

...of water and watching the Care Bears movie? I was quite surprised that hubby didn't even object to this, and actually seemed quite excited about the film! He must have been feeling delicate too. Care Bears - The Movie I used to like the Care Bears - I was never a huge fan, but had a couple of the bears, including Birthday Bear (my favourite), and used to get Care Bears films out of the video shop along with My Little Pony, and Herbie goes ...
...film, it's the first Care Bear's film, and was released in 1985, but I'm sure I must have seen it at some point. So, onto the story In the orphanage the children are ready for bed, and want a bedtime story before they go off to sleep. So, the orphanage owner Mr Cherrywood (voice over by Mickey Rooney) tells them a story…..about a time when people stopped caring. Care-a-lot is where the Care Bears live, and it's such a nice place to live, ... Read review
