Advantages: Great for everyone and shows a lot of feeling. Disadvantages: There are none.
Shiloh is an incredibly moving film about a young boy who risks everything for his best friend, in an old American town.
Movie plot:
A boy called Marty Preston is walking across Shiloh bridge, when a cute beagle starts to follow him home, he notices that the dog has a cut above his eye and realises that his nasty owner Judd is to blame. Marty wants to keep the dog for himself and calls him Shiloh, but as the family are living in a remortgaged house ... ...away and when Marty finds Shiloh again, he hides it from his family and finds an old shed in the woods, that he fixes up for Shiloh. For the next few days, Marty spends his time doing odd jobs around the town, for money to feed Shiloh and buy him off Judd. Review of Shiloh (DVD)
Advantages: Classic tale which has a good message. Disadvantages: Like several other movies, not as good as the first one.
This tale starts off like many others with setting the scene, yet in a very confusing way. It is not clear of the time line as it does not directly follow on from the first movie.
Despite the opening flaw it does offer some entertainment and with an original cast from the first movie, the music, along with many other Disney classics, is wonderful and charming and will capture the imagination of many generations.
The basic plot sees to be that during ... ...the Christmas before; thus launching into a long tale in which the characters plan, sing, destroy, and save Christmas!
The villain of the piece is perhaps more terrible than the previous, jealous character of Gaston. He comes in the form of Forte. Forte was the musician in the castle and when the spell was placed on the castle, he was turned into a pipe organ. ...film for young fans of Winnie the Pooh, and it's one of the better ones though by no means the best. The animation doesn't have the look of the original 1960's film that charmed generations, nor does it quite have the final updated look we are acostomed to from the Tigger Movie and the TVseries. It's a transitional piece, where the new drawing style and palette of colours was still being developed from the 1960's offering The Many Adventure of Winnie ... ...to The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh or The Tigger Movie, I suggest either renting it, or buying a cheaper copy for £5.99 from the Amazon marketplace (they are the same, just with the old style cover art that was the same as on the old VHS offering) instead of plonking out just under £20 for this. ...
