Good old Mr Toad! Advantages: funny, appeals to all ages, good actors Disadvantages: you will likely already know the plot This is the latest version on dvd of the Wind in the Willows which was released out on dvd 26/03/2007. I found this version of the classic tale to be the greatest version yet and i think Matt Lucas from little Britain play a quality character as good old Mr Toad. This dvd will appeal to children and adults alike, definately a must see film. such a classic Advantages: everything! A great modern adaptation of the Greek myth Advantages: Great songs, good character development. Disadvantages: None that I can think of... Which Mr Men or Little Miss Character are you? Advantages: great characters Disadvantages: not as good as the original I used to love the Mr Men books as a kid and remember watching them on Sunday mornings before my mum and dad got up so when I saw this dvd I had to have a look at it and see whether my own son would love it as much as I had after introducing him to some of my old books which were written back in 1971 by Roger Hargreaves who then went on to write the Little Miss books in 1981. I didn't realise that it wasn't the original series, which were narrated ... ...some old favourites such as Mr Chatterbox and it just isn't quite the same as with all upgrades when you remember the original characters. The animation is bright and colourful so grabs the eye and the simpleness of it follows the theme of the books quite well. It hasn't been changed with special effects the way some remakes are. The stories aren't as good as the originals though and I was a little disappointed by this.
