Watch out the Muppets are About!

Advantages: Great family film, good puppets
Disadvantages: None from my boys

...always had a love for the Muppets stretching back from his childhood days and as soon as my boys were old enough he showed them what it was all about. Since then my eldest two have really liked them. After a long hard and busy morning at pre-school my 4 year old came home and decided that he wanted to watch the Muppets in Manhattan DVD. Fraggle Rock DVD

Advantages: good sound and picture quality
Disadvantages: not many extra features to play with

...in 2004 of the original Fraggle rock series 1 episodes created in 1984. Fraggle rock always takes me back to being a child of the 80's and I still adore them just as much as I used to. With this newely restored imagery DVD format of the 12 first episodes of Fraggle rock I am really really pleased and am sure will be loved equally as much by any fellow fraggle fan! Review of Fraggle Rock (DVD)

Good fun!

Advantages: Dialogue, cracking pace, excellent animation
Disadvantages: May not be suitable for children who are old enough to understand innuendo

...for adults as well and Ice Age 3 certainly delivered on that front. I've seen Ice Age2 on TV but not the first film and never in the cinema. On top of that this was a 3D show. Review of Ice Age 3 - Dawn Of The Dinosaurs (DVD)

"I thought you guys were extinct?"

Advantages: amazing picture quality, good fun for all the family!
Disadvantages: Cant think of any.

I bought my wife Ice Age 3 for Christmas. She asked for it. Can't say its my type of film, but being a loving husband I sat down and watched it with her anyway. The first thing that struck me, being a blu ray, is the amazing quality. Animated films and comic-esque outings (like the Simpsons) always take full advantage of the High Definition nature of blu ray and make a movie a pleasure for the eye to behold. Ice Age 3 is quite possibly the best example ...
...were apparently living below the ice and meeting a swash buckling weasel who helps save the day. All the while, we get to watch the fun adventures of the little chap chasing his acorn, that have been present in the past films. This time, there's a love interest!! Its quite a good watch and plenty of fun for all the family. The usual deleted scenes and such are present, I can't say I watched them though, sorry, but its not my cup-of-tea, as I said. ...
