a movie you can let your kids see
Review of Charlotte's Web (Animated) by
jmccracken
Advantages: entertanment with substance
Disadvantages: some sad parts
Some movies today. even ones that are made for children have not so nice words in them. With this movie i can put it on and know that the only thing my 3 year old will pick up from it is a good lession. I think that this movie shows that you can find a friend in some of the strangest of places. If you have ever read the book i would have to say that you will love the movie. In my openion the only bad part is that charlette does not make it through ... ...feel better and keeps kids at my sons age under standing what is going on with out makeing him sad . over all i would recamend this film to people of all ages that like a movie that can give you a range of emoshions , and just make you smile. ...

Come Home with This One
Review of Charlie Brown - Snoopy Come Home (Animated) by
Shroud
Advantages: classic animation, well written story, gentle humour
Disadvantages: dialogue and themes aimed at the over 8's but nothing unsuitable for younger viewers
...character, a little boy named Charlie Brown, aged 8. Nothing he ever does turns out quite as he intended, and the other children tend to be dismissive of him. So much so that everyone always calls him by his full name, never just Charlie. He has a beagle named Snoopy, who is rather eccentric and seems not quite certain of the fact that he is a dog and not another kid in the neighbourhood. Charlie Brown's best friend is Linus, who carries a security ... ...and Charlie Brown. Charlie Brown has a younger sister, Sally, who is a hanger on that has a huge crush on Linus. There are other characters who lend supporting roles: Peppermint Patty the sandal wearing tomboy, Marcie the slightly dim but sweet glasses wearing best friend of Patty, Schroeder who is Lucy's unwilling love interest and a talented Beethoven inspired child pianist, Violet, one of Lucy's clique of friends, and Woodstock, a yellow bird ...

The Amazing Mr. Blunden widescreen
Review of The Amazing Mr Blunden (Wide Screen) by
vancouver12
Advantages: gentle tale , historical eras mix and match, fun with being a ghost
Disadvantages: you might not see all the jokes presented to you
This movie deals with the world as seen by many ages of children both past and present. The children brought to the estate by their mother are in little worlds of their own as they try to escape or ignore
the poverty and bad luck around them. It becomes a game as they
are visited by an elderly gentleman in a cloak with huge whiskers. Their mother has to see a lawyer the following day ; but while at the
office they see that same man that visited ... ...the firm over 200 years ago. Mysteries pile upon
mysteries as the tales of child ghosts in the ramshackle mansion
abound. Time now rises up when the child ghost meet the new children - then it is a tale of twists and turns to keep you glued to the
dvd as you would not want to miss a single detail.. ...

Worthy Third Installment
Review of High School Musical 3 - Senior Year DVD by
katygriff
Advantages: Fun
Disadvantages: None
I love High School Musical and I saw the third one at the cinema last weekend now for the second time as I love it so much. It is the most fun and fantastic film and follows on from the first two very well due to its slightly more grown up feel and songs and dances. This review will hopefully tell you why this trilogy has been finished off perfectly with this fab third film.
Story of this film is that it is senior year at East high school and everybody ... ...This film shows that the high school musical franchise is as strong as ever and the third installment still captures all of the Disney magic and once again leaves the audience wanting more. I have to say that this film is definitely one you should go and see if you want a couple of hours of pure fun.
The film lasts for just under 2 hours which seems long but it goes by in a flash and as always with these films it is a Universal certificate. You ...

The Care Bears care, do you care?
Review of Care Bears - The Movie/All Dogs Go To Heaven 2/Tom's Midnight Garden (Box Set) by
marymoose99
Advantages: Only £2 per film, Care Bears are great!
Disadvantages: Not good version of Tom's Midnight Garden, No English on ADGTH
...of water and watching the Care Bears movie? I was quite surprised that hubby didn't even object to this, and actually seemed quite excited about the film! He must have been feeling delicate too.
Care Bears - The Movie
I used to like the Care Bears - I was never a huge fan, but had a couple of the bears, including Birthday Bear (my favourite), and used to get Care Bears films out of the video shop along with My Little Pony, and Herbie goes ... ...film, it's the first Care Bear's film, and was released in 1985, but I'm sure I must have seen it at some point.
So, onto the story
In the orphanage the children are ready for bed, and want a bedtime story before they go off to sleep. So, the orphanage owner Mr Cherrywood (voice over by Mickey Rooney) tells them a story…..about a time when people stopped caring.
Care-a-lot is where the Care Bears live, and it's such a nice place to live, ...
