Hell has just frozen over...
Advantages: Giant killer snowman Disadvantages: Cheesy dialogue
Starring Stephen Mendel, F William Parker, Rob Labelle, Eileen Seeley and Scott MacDonald as Jack Frost!
Packaging - Big scary skull with pointy teeth, this has nothing to do with anything in the film!
Rating - 18 (UK)
Plot - Convicted serial kiler Jack Frost is on his way to be executed when the van carrying him is overturned after colliding with an 18-wheeler and he escapes - however just as he breaks free of the prison van the tanker (which ... ...melts him into the snow below his feet.
Needless to say he comes back as a killer snowman who travels to a small town in the mountains intent on gaining revenge over the police officer who captured him and sent him to jail.
Review - The film contains lots of laughs as the townspeople concoct various ludicrous methods to finally see off the demonic snowman - did I really just say "demonic snowman"? - they eventually manage it but not before he wreaks ...

'Bah, Humbug!' you say? Have a Worther's instead!
Advantages: plot, voices, 3D Disadvantages: /
...not one to turn away a free cinema ticket, and when I was presented with the chance to go and see 'A Christmas Carol 3D', I didn't hesitate to say yes. It wasn't the fact that it was A Christmas Carol that made me so excited, but the fact that it was in 3D. I'd only ever seen one 3D film before, which I had loved, but that was on a DVD. I imagined the 3D experience in a cinema would be twice as exciting if not more. But the answer I wanted to know ... ...had only ever seen Mickey's A Christmas Carol as a child, but when you are viewing this little Christmas cartoon about a mouse, it's hard to take it seriously. So I was indeed looking forward to seeing how something a bit more serious would turn out. The story itself is quite traditional, telling the tale of Ebenezer Scrooge, a bitter man with no Christmas spirit. Though one Christmas Eve, seven years after his business partner Jacob Marley died, ...
