Oliver Twist Review
Advantages: It wasn't to expensive Disadvantages: Its very long
Oliver Twist is a interesting film. It keeps you glued to your seets and its a film for all the family with bits of comedy and emotion. The film is about a young boy which is an orphan called oliver who is moved around to different orphanages regularly. As he grew up he was forced to work and live in a warehouse. Afterwards he ran from the warehouse and ended up in london, here he was found by a man called Fagan who took him him and taught him how ... ...the parts when Oliver is being taught and his character devepment during the movie. He grows in confidence and learns much from Fagan. Oliver twist is a long film and some of the story may be deemed boring for some of the audience. On the whole Oliver Twist is a fantastic production and was well worth the money i payed for it, I would recomend this dvd and the book to anyone. It has a fantastic opening and a fantastic ending and should be watchted ...

OLIVER TWIST
I can hear your groans from here, “Oh no, she’s reviewing another oldie!!” and yes I am, and I don’t care!!!!!
You’ve all heard it said that the oldies are the best!!
This review is of David Lean’s 1948 adaption of ‘Oliver Twist’, the restored DVD released in 2008. (ASIN: B001AJ34C6)
I am sure that when most people think of Charles Dickens' "Oliver Twist" on film, their thoughts automatically go to the 1968 musical ... ...the evil Bill Sikes.
Oliver Twist was an early Dickens work, and it was a work with Dickens at this best trying to publicise the insufficient provision that was made for the poor in England's 19th-century workhouses. Dickens wrote with some experience as in 1823, his father spent a year in debtors prison and Charles had to support himself working in a dye warehouse, not terribly unlike Oliver Twist's experience in the workhouse I think that some ...

Good fun!
Advantages: Dialogue, cracking pace, excellent animation Disadvantages: May not be suitable for children who are old enough to understand innuendo
...for adults as well and Ice Age 3 certainly delivered on that front. I've seen Ice Age2 on TV but not the first film and never in the cinema. On top of that this was a 3D show. The story essentially follows Manny, the mammoth, his heavily pregnant wife, Ellie and Diego, the sabre toothed tiger as they venture under the ice to a land where dinosaurs are not extinct. They do this to try and rescue Sid, who feeling unloved due to the impending arrival ... ...subsequently been carried off with his 'children' by their real mother. In dinosaur world they meet Buck, the weasel with the Sylvester Stallone eyepatch and knife, the British accent (Simon Pegg voices him) and the literary connections to Captain Ahab of Moby Dick (both have been left injured by 'the great white beast', both are unnaturally obsessed and slightly unhinged by it). As a sideline, Scratt is still seeking his acorn but this time there ...

"I thought you guys were extinct?"
Advantages: amazing picture quality, good fun for all the family! Disadvantages: Cant think of any.
I bought my wife Ice Age 3 for Christmas. She asked for it. Can't say its my type of film, but being a loving husband I sat down and watched it with her anyway. The first thing that struck me, being a blu ray, is the amazing quality. Animated films and comic-esque outings (like the Simpsons) always take full advantage of the High Definition nature of blu ray and make a movie a pleasure for the eye to behold. Ice Age 3 is quite possibly the best example ... ...were apparently living below the ice and meeting a swash buckling weasel who helps save the day. All the while, we get to watch the fun adventures of the little chap chasing his acorn, that have been present in the past films. This time, there's a love interest!! Its quite a good watch and plenty of fun for all the family. The usual deleted scenes and such are present, I can't say I watched them though, sorry, but its not my cup-of-tea, as I said. ...

PAINT THE WHOLE WORLD.
Advantages: THE KIDDIES WILL LOVE WATCHING IT Disadvantages: NOTHING
RAINBOW
"Up above the streets and houses,
Rainbow climbing high,
Everyone can see it smiling over the sky”.
“Paint the whole word with a Rainbow”
First aired in 1972 and ran for an incredible 20 years and contained an astonishing 1071 episodes.
The general format was, what is quite common now, where it would be on twice a week, usually for around 15 – 20 minutes.
It was aimed squarely at kids and contained some iconic figures that ... ...revolved around adventures to go on, usually around the house, or more likely problems to be solved. It would always be resolved by the puppets or by a song.
Cast:
=
Zippy
Loud and opinionated and always right about everything, well in his mind.
George
A shy pink hippo, go figure? He was always getting into trouble.
Bungle
A huge brown and very clumsy bear. Very unfrightening and a bit dozey.
Geoffrey
The father figure of the group and ...
