Battle between Humans and the Animal Gods
Advantages: Good story, Interesting creatures, It's a Miyazaki movie, Passable English dub Disadvantages: Seems a bit violent for a PG at times
...his quest and we meet Princess Mononoke (princess of spirits) whom turns out to be San, a girl raised by the wolf Gods. There we also discover the cause of the boar God's hatred as well as an ongoing dispute between humans and the animal Gods of the forest spirit. Will they settle their dispute and will Ashitaka lift the curse on his right arm? Princess Mononoke is a Japanese animation (or 'anime' to myself and many others) from Studio Ghibli and ... ...few. The animation style of Princess Mononoke is very similar to the other Miyazaki movies and doesn't have the classic anime character design whereby the girls have gigantic eyes. It's a more 'serious' animation style although still recognisable as something that originated from Japan by those familiar with the anime genre. It was originally released in Japan in 1997 but released in the UK in 1991. The Japanese name should be Mononoke Hime (Hime ...

Stop the Sequels!!!.
Advantages: You don't always have to wear 3-D glasses. Disadvantages: The Acting. It's Not 3-D.
Spy Kids 3-D
Plot.
At the start of the movie, Juni Cortez (Daryl Sabara) the trilogy's junior James Bond comes out of retirement (Although we have no explanation why he retired in the first place), to rescue the mind of his sister Carmen Cortez (Alexa Vega), who has become trapped inside a virtual reality video game.
Sylvester Stallone, stars as the main villain, "The Toymaker", who designed the video game to capture the minds of every ... ...why.)
Once Juni get's inside the game, it's a world of computer scenery, special effects and made up creatures. He meets a bunch of beta testers who have been allowed into the game, and sets out on his quest to reach level 4, where is sister is being held.
My Opinion.

Good fun!
Advantages: Dialogue, cracking pace, excellent animation Disadvantages: May not be suitable for children who are old enough to understand innuendo
...for adults as well and Ice Age 3 certainly delivered on that front. I've seen Ice Age2 on TV but not the first film and never in the cinema. On top of that this was a 3D show. The story essentially follows Manny, the mammoth, his heavily pregnant wife, Ellie and Diego, the sabre toothed tiger as they venture under the ice to a land where dinosaurs are not extinct. They do this to try and rescue Sid, who feeling unloved due to the impending arrival ... ...subsequently been carried off with his 'children' by their real mother. In dinosaur world they meet Buck, the weasel with the Sylvester Stallone eyepatch and knife, the British accent (Simon Pegg voices him) and the literary connections to Captain Ahab of Moby Dick (both have been left injured by 'the great white beast', both are unnaturally obsessed and slightly unhinged by it). As a sideline, Scratt is still seeking his acorn but this time there ...

"I thought you guys were extinct?"
Advantages: amazing picture quality, good fun for all the family! Disadvantages: Cant think of any.
I bought my wife Ice Age 3 for Christmas. She asked for it. Can't say its my type of film, but being a loving husband I sat down and watched it with her anyway. The first thing that struck me, being a blu ray, is the amazing quality. Animated films and comic-esque outings (like the Simpsons) always take full advantage of the High Definition nature of blu ray and make a movie a pleasure for the eye to behold. Ice Age 3 is quite possibly the best example ... ...were apparently living below the ice and meeting a swash buckling weasel who helps save the day. All the while, we get to watch the fun adventures of the little chap chasing his acorn, that have been present in the past films. This time, there's a love interest!! Its quite a good watch and plenty of fun for all the family. The usual deleted scenes and such are present, I can't say I watched them though, sorry, but its not my cup-of-tea, as I said. ...

PAINT THE WHOLE WORLD.
Advantages: THE KIDDIES WILL LOVE WATCHING IT Disadvantages: NOTHING
RAINBOW
"Up above the streets and houses,
Rainbow climbing high,
Everyone can see it smiling over the sky”.
“Paint the whole word with a Rainbow”
First aired in 1972 and ran for an incredible 20 years and contained an astonishing 1071 episodes.
The general format was, what is quite common now, where it would be on twice a week, usually for around 15 – 20 minutes.
It was aimed squarely at kids and contained some iconic figures that ... ...revolved around adventures to go on, usually around the house, or more likely problems to be solved. It would always be resolved by the puppets or by a song.
Cast:
=
Zippy
Loud and opinionated and always right about everything, well in his mind.
George
A shy pink hippo, go figure? He was always getting into trouble.
Bungle
A huge brown and very clumsy bear. Very unfrightening and a bit dozey.
Geoffrey
The father figure of the group and ...
