I thought that The Litle Mermaid was a great film, actually one of my favourite Disney films. It's a classic - and the quality of the DVD is top notch. I had not seen this movie since I was about six years old and although the story is widely known, so the plot is unsurprising, it was entertaining and made me laugh, as well as sympathise for the characters. I thought the characters were original and amusing, my personal favourite being Flounder. ...
...and can guarentee entertainment. I highly recommend this film, it is also brill for families because the parents are not bored while the kid enjoys themself. Once again, Disney succeded in creating a film appealing to everyone. I can not see anything wrong with this film, except that it ends! ... Read review

Advantages: Language very clear and easy to understand by children from age 3 .You do not need to watch cinderella (1) to follow the stories
Disadvantages: It contains the story iniatially being narrated which could confuse younger kids a bit at the beginning

Mickeys once upon a christmas is a very traditionel collection of cartoon stories all the old characters are there enducing that all important warm fuzzy feel good factor. Mickys twice upon a christmas is a twist on the original. ...King, Little Mermaid.............yet some of the less recognised movies are just as entertaining and well made. I had never planned on watching "The emporers new groove" when I heard of its release in the cinema I presumed it was some cutesy spin on the "Emporers new clothes" fable aimed at young children and while it does teach those lessons it isnt in the twee way I had imagined. ...I was pleasantly surprised by the movie I saw and bought it on dvd release as soon as it came out. I discovered "Kronks new groove" as I was flicking through the Asda magazine just before christmas and, having loved Kronk in the original film, added the movie to my christmas list. I recieved the 2 disc box set(so I now have a surplus copy of the first movie) and was delighted that the 2nd movie was as good as the first, straight to dvd Disney sequels ... Read review
