It's supercalifragilisticexpialidocious!
Review of Mary Poppins / Tarzan / Lilo And Stitch (Animated) (3 Special Edition Classics) (Box Set) by loungekitten

Advantages: Three special editions of 3 great family films
Disadvantages: Possible double film if you have bought one of the three before

...winning performance in the unforgetable Mary Poppins the magical nanny who comes into London on the wind and enriches the lives of two children, Julie Andrews'voice sparkles especially when she sings "feed the birds" Dick Van Dyke's accent may not be great but his superb singing and his endless energy during the brillant dance routines is infectious. Then to Edgar Rice Burroughs Tarzan the little boy lost in the jungle and brought up by gorillas,is ...
...is a classic and the film manages to keep all ages interested.and entertained throughout. Finally Lilo & Stich one of the more recent Disney classics, the story of an alien & a little girl who find friendship and the bonds of family can survive anything even alien space authorities! Lilo is a great character who isn't the typical disney princess brand but has personality. The soundtrack features Elvis too so it's all good! There are loads of features ... Read review

Get into the groove!
Review of The Emperor's New Groove / Kronk's New Groove (Animated) by piggypine

Advantages: 2 great movies in 1 great set
Disadvantages: You might have already bought the first film seperately

...King, Little Mermaid.............yet some of the less recognised movies are just as entertaining and well made. I had never planned on watching "The emporers new groove" when I heard of its release in the cinema I presumed it was some cutesy spin on the "Emporers new clothes" fable aimed at young children and while it does teach those lessons it isnt in the twee way I had imagined. My sister was working at the cinema at the time and dragged me along, ...
...I was pleasantly surprised by the movie I saw and bought it on dvd release as soon as it came out. I discovered "Kronks new groove" as I was flicking through the Asda magazine just before christmas and, having loved Kronk in the original film, added the movie to my christmas list. I recieved the 2 disc box set(so I now have a surplus copy of the first movie) and was delighted that the 2nd movie was as good as the first, straight to dvd Disney sequels ... Read review

The Emperor is Groovy!
Review of The Emperor's New Groove (Animated) (Collector's Edition) by staceycav

Advantages: Fabulous characters and soundtrack
Disadvantages: A fairly weak storyline by Disney standards

...'The Emperor's New Groove,' at the cinema when it first came out. Although I was not blown away in the same way I was with 'The Lion King,' or 'Lilo and Stitch,' I did leave the cinema feeling as though I had enjoyed myself. Not enough, however, to purchase the original DVD release. When the collector's edition came how, though, I just had to have it. As I die-hard Disney fanatic I would have been a cardinal sin not to. I purchased my copy for £17.99 ...
...it much cheaper now. The story itself was not excellent, but the characters were fabulous. Disney never fail to deliver in this aspect of their animated film production. Emperor Kuzco, voiced by David Spades is a spoilt brat. He treats his subjects terribly and his actions are all performed with solely his own gain in mind. One day, however, he makes a mistake! He fires his advisor, Yzma (voiced fabulously by Eartha Kitt). Yzma, who is a sorcerer, ... Read review

Worthy Third Installment
Review of High School Musical 3 - Senior Year DVD by katygriff

Advantages: Fun
Disadvantages: None

I love High School Musical and I saw the third one at the cinema last weekend now for the second time as I love it so much. It is the most fun and fantastic film and follows on from the first two very well due to its slightly more grown up feel and songs and dances. This review will hopefully tell you why this trilogy has been finished off perfectly with this fab third film. Story of this film is that it is senior year at East high school and everybody ...
...This film shows that the high school musical franchise is as strong as ever and the third installment still captures all of the Disney magic and once again leaves the audience wanting more. I have to say that this film is definitely one you should go and see if you want a couple of hours of pure fun. The film lasts for just under 2 hours which seems long but it goes by in a flash and as always with these films it is a Universal certificate. You ... Read review

The Care Bears care, do you care?
Review of Care Bears - The Movie/All Dogs Go To Heaven 2/Tom's Midnight Garden (Box Set) by marymoose99

Advantages: Only £2 per film, Care Bears are great!
Disadvantages: Not good version of Tom's Midnight Garden, No English on ADGTH

...of water and watching the Care Bears movie? I was quite surprised that hubby didn't even object to this, and actually seemed quite excited about the film! He must have been feeling delicate too. Care Bears - The Movie I used to like the Care Bears - I was never a huge fan, but had a couple of the bears, including Birthday Bear (my favourite), and used to get Care Bears films out of the video shop along with My Little Pony, and Herbie goes ...
...film, it's the first Care Bear's film, and was released in 1985, but I'm sure I must have seen it at some point. So, onto the story In the orphanage the children are ready for bed, and want a bedtime story before they go off to sleep. So, the orphanage owner Mr Cherrywood (voice over by Mickey Rooney) tells them a story…..about a time when people stopped caring. Care-a-lot is where the Care Bears live, and it's such a nice place to live, ... Read review
