This Will No Doubt Be The Zenith Of GWTW History
Review of Gone With The Wind (Special Edition Box Set) by  eve6kicksass

Advantages: Probably the best transfer of the film I've seen yet....
Disadvantages: Why didnt Leslie Howard get his own hour long documentary?

...examples of story telling ever put on film, maintaining interest for 4 hours." I couldn't have said it any better myself. Personally, I love this film as much as the next person. As much as I love the modern-day epics such as BRAVEHEART, SCHINDLER'S LIST, and DANCES WITH WOLVES, I think that GONE WITH THE WIND still leads them all. The Union's attack on Gettysburg, Scarlett O'Hara's swearing she will never go hungry again, Rhett Butler saying "Frankly, my dear I don't give a damn,"---all of these have all become moments of cinema folklore. The grand performances have become models for future actors and actresses to follow. However, probably the film's greatest accomplishment is because of one simple trait: timelessness. I don't look at GONE WITH THE WIND as a classic film, a legendary film, and certainly not a film that was made... Read review

Just another love story?
Review of Gone With The Wind DVD by  Keeway

Advantages: Too many to mention
Disadvantages: None that I can see

...as it deserves. I am not listing the names of who played who, as that is all it is – a list copied from the DVD or a website. This is a review about one of the finest films I have ever seen. Just give a lower rating if you feel that this is an important aspect to writing a film review. Many films, such as ‘Cold Mountain’ have tried to emulate this magnificent story of an era that has ‘Gone with the Wind’, and although enjoyable, they do not come close to this one. Thanks for reading – WOW I’ve done my first ever film review!! FOOTNOTE Why do I love ‘Gone with the Wind’ and now have an interest in the American Civil War? I actually did it all backwards!! I read ‘Scarlett’ (the sequel to Gone with the Wind’), and then decided that perhaps I should see ‘Gone with the Wind’ to find out what had happened previously. I got hooked – perhaps you... An excellent addition to any DVD collection
Review of The Lord Of The Rings - The Fellowship Of The Ring DVD by  Simoncook1

Advantages: Excellent movie and very good DVD extras
Disadvantages: Some repetition of interviews

...detail of the special effects. -Preview of Electronic Arts' video game, The Two Towers - where do I buy it. Based on the movie this adventure game looks simply stunning. You are unable to interact with the game but it certainly looks like a must for all computer geeks who love Lord of the Rings. I believe it is to be initially released for the PS2 and probably the PC. This snippet talks to the developers and explains how they try to stay true to the movie - the game does look very good although it seems to focus on combat. The 3-D graphics look excellent and the characterization looks superb - especially the moving eyes of Aragorn. I look forward to purchasing this. <Overall> The presentation of the DVD is excellent. The opening screen is good and the music that plays while you decide what to chose is very pleasant and relaxing... Read review
