It also informs you that the film collection is 15 rated which is a good indication that whilst it is dealing with the grisly subject of war it's not going to be overly graphic in its depiction [or shouldn't be!]. The back cover gives a more detailed breakdown of each film, i.e. brief summary of movie, production information, running times, special features and once more the obligatory rating. When you pull the inner case out you're faced with a very classy all black casing, both front back and inside, that has the well known Metro Goldwyn Mayer Lion's Head banner. Flipping it open reveals the three discs and also contains a handy little insert informing you of other collections by MGM, e.g. Horror, Sci-Fi, Thriller etc, collections. The DVD's are also very picturesque containing some indication of their contents... Read review

...World War Two In Colour Face to Face is a truly remarkable documentary film. It consists of rare colour film footage, shot during the evil and desperate days that made up the Second World War. The film was, in the main, all shot by film cameramen who were military personnel. Who genuinely braved the same hardships and difficulties that beset their military colleagues, compatriots and fellow combatants. As the commentary on the DVD points out, the vast majority of people involved in the Second World War (the notes actually use the term "men") never had any experience of combat whatsoever. The figure quoted on the notes claim that as many as five out of six did not experience any combat, at all. I must admit that I found that figure rather surprising.
