Advantages: amazing speical effects and is for the whole family
Disadvantages: not for very young people as slight violence

...i purchased this dvd about three weeks ago and after seeing the series on the tv i was amazed that i was still hooked . this series is good for the whole family but you might want to check it as there is some swearing and sex involved. There is something in this series for everyone, for the children there are aliens and the fact that theres amazing affects and excitement. For the men theres a lot of violence and sexy scenes. There is also a womens aspect as this a action based, alien, crime detective thriller. This dvd is also packed with loads of speical features and deleted scenes. There is a large amount of viewing time to be had out of this dvd and so it is great value for money.... Read review

...I wasn't familiar with Curious George before my 3-year-old son was given this DVD as a gift, but he's now a firm favourite. The DVD features eight short stories including Zoo Night - George visits the baby panda at the zoo and ends up accidentally releasing all the animals; From Scratch - George has to work out who caused the scratches the cat's been wrongly accused of; and Curious George Discovers the 'Poles in which he's given some tadpoles to look after and learns about the cycle of life. George is curious and occasionally mischievous without being naughty and, though these stories are great fun, they're also stealthily educational, teaching problem-solving without being preachy or boring. Great fun and a fabulously funky soundtrack to boot!... Read review

Advantages: a must of all stargate fans

...a must for all stargate fans. follow the story of sg-1 and become a part of there team. all the story lines are very good and don't follow the same area, unlike others. total running time of most dvd,s is approx 3hrs, which is good valve for money. the stargate crew do not only face danger on off worlds, but also on earth, time after time they come to the aid of civilisations devastated by war and are desperate for any help that they can get. but sometimes there help is not required or wanted, which leads the sg-1 into all sorts of problems. o'neil and daniel are the back bones not only too the episodes but also the sg-1 with carter and teal'c making the crew. and together the crew works....
