Advantages: A good happy go lucky musical film Disadvantages: By it's nature it's very lightweight
...I have been a fan of Cliff Richard since he first started making records back on the late 1950's. My mom and dad also liked Cliff; I suppose he was wholesome and not likely to corrupt my young mind! Anyway the upshot of this is that they took me to see his early films and even queued to get tickets to see him in Blackpool one year too, but that's another story altogether!
I didn't get to see Cliff's first two films (ExpressoBongo and Serious Charge) at the cinema as I would have been a bit too young to make sense of them. I was taken to see The Young Ones and then in 1963 we all went to see Summer Holiday.
I am guessing that this is the best known of all Cliff's films and if you were to ask a random member of the general population to name a film starring Cliff Richard this is the one that would be named most often. To be fair...

Advantages: A brilliant soundtrack to your very groovy, but chaotic lifestyle. Disadvantages: Only four tracks on the DVD. pfft!
...-down in the trees, the special effects, and crazed dancers and the rapping pope, Missy then proceeds to stretch her neck to about 20 times it's original length. Quite a trick! Also featured: Missy swinging from a chandelier and an appearance from Timberland using someone's chest as a bongo drum. All swear words from the original version have been replaced by less offensive terms, which was also a nice addition. This is an extremely well directed video, a great start to the DVD.

Bret and Jemaine struggle by on no cash they are managed by the hopeless but well meaning Murray.
The DVD comes with 12 episodes and includes the songs by the band which are played within the episodes, in the style of a musical. All the songs are written by Bret and Jemaine. The band itself is described (by Bret & Jemaine) as "New Zealand's fourth most popular guitar-based digi-bongo acapella-rap-funk-comedy folk duo".
