...This is a good DVD for anyone who wants to get started on the electric guitar, and begin to play things a bit more complicated to impress friends and family.
Keith Wyatt is obviously a very accomplished and skilled guitar player, and he knows what he's talking about. He presents new skills clearly and teaches what he knows well.
The only flaw in this DVD is that it may be too hard for complete beginners of the guitar. Where a couple of the lessons it has should be devoted to how to hold the guitar, tuning, how to strum properly and basic chords, it races through these basic skills quite quickly.
However, once you have mastered these key skills, the instructional guide moves along at a good pace, and covers lots of things, such as minor pentatonic scales, major pentatonic scales, dominant chords, power chords, and how to play...

Advantages: Entertaining, and lasts for 91 minutes Disadvantages: Child can get a bit fed up!
...To start with the simple stuff, this is very well packaged. Not too busy on the front with a minimum use of colour, so it really draws the eye. It is rated as Uc, which means even babies can watch it.
I originally bought this for my 3 year old daughter, but my four year old son really enjoys watching it as well.
For those of you who are unaware, Pocoyo is a little boy in blue, who is incredibly curious. He has friends who help him out throughout the pprogramme, there is Pato the Duck, who is about Pocoyos age, Elle the elephant who is older than Pocoyo, Sleepy bird, who, strangely, sleeps all the time, and the Dog Loula. Loula is the only character who is an animal and acts like an animal, which can be a little strange.
This Dvd is quite fun to watch with your child, it is quite amusing, especially some of the faces Pocoyo...

Dora the Explorer is a cartoon aimed at pre-school children. It is inter-active, encouraging children to play along in the adventures. It's aim is to encourage problem solving in pre-schoolers by encouraging them and helping them to work through a problem.
Dora is a character in a computer programme. In each episode she encounters programmes, and the child is then asked to answer a question. There is a gap between the question being asked and the answer eing given on the show, allowing time for the child to answer.
Dora speaks English but also speaks Spanish. The programme uses basic Spanish words and asks the child to repeat them. This helps them with basic knowledge of Spanish.
