A compelling story about a young girl whom was possessed by the devil. The film which was previously banned thanks to the church made a big impact on the public when it was originally released.
The girl becomes possessed in the first film, the church becomes involved in order to rid her of the demon. She survives and then goes on to make a second film years later after the first film caused a nervous breakdown for the young actress.
The second film takes place four years later. After being hypnotised the evil is traced back to the cult of the locusts. This was a great film but not as heart stopping as the first.
The third film is about the young priest from the first film whom was posessed by a serial killer who was executed at the same time as the original exorcism was taking place.
A great set of film's. 100% must see. They are great original movies, was one of the scariest films around. The intensity of these films make them great. The director obviousy wanted to scare the crap out of the viewers with the way he uses the dark and gloomy atmoshere with the spine chillin music aand he does it very well. He also does a very good job with the sequels because he connects all three, even the though third one has nothing to do with the young girl. The strong points are they way it was directed, the way it does its job by scaring you esspecially when the devil flashes up for a few seconds,at 2 or 3 points durin the film. The only bad ponts is the fact that when it was rerealsed there was to much media coverage and it was too hyped up. It is scary but definetly not one of the scariest film around. All the actors have put so muh in to the film to make it great, you can tell whilst watchin the films that they put so much into the film. Along with the director they make this a fantastic scary film. If definetly you like being scared and you like horrors you have to see this film.
I see you've posted this as a DVD review, but you've not mentioned the DVD. Are there any extras? If so, what are they and are they any good? If you add to this, or if you change it to be posted as a "Film Only" review, which can be done by accessing "edit review" above the review and changing the drop down menu under the "Which format are you reviewing?" question at the bottom, please let me know and I'll re-rate.
Sorry for the low rate, but "A great set of film's. 100% must see if this is your type of film" is about the only piece of opinion in this review and is frankly not enough. You need to drastically expand on that sentence and say exactly what makes them good, what are weak points, how is the acting, the story, the direction, etc.
