From start to finish i could not drag myself away from this compelling account of two best friend's journey around the world. From the very beginning you are behind them and their team, willing them past every obstruction and celebrating with them as they over come problems, both physical and mental that they overcome. Since watching it for the first time i have watched and re-watched it, and then gone out and bought the book, which only adds to the experience. You are left with a tremendous sense of pride for them and a massively strong desire to apply everything they gave to achieving it to your own daily life. and surprisingly it didn't give me any sense of resentment for to people being given there dream because both Ewan McGregor and Charley Boreman are completely honest and genuine.

I see you've posted this as a DVD review, but you've not mentioned the DVD features. Are there any extras? If so, what are they and are they any good? If you add to this, or if you change it to be posted as a "Film Only" review, which can be done by accessing "edit review" above the review and changing the drop down menu under the "Which format are you reviewing?" question at the bottom, please let me know and I'll re-rate.

Could have done with a bit more info, like where they travelled through. I liked when they travelled through Mongolia. The scenery was amazing. Am looking forward to "The Long Way Down" which is on BBC2 this Sunday at 9pm. Shelly X
