...which all 3 of the Evil Dead films contain.
This Horredy (Horror and Comedy mixed together) are classics right up into present day, Evil Dead 1 filmed in 1981, Evil Dead 2 in 1987 and finally Evil Dead 3 in 1993 still live on in everyones memory for the gore, the pervertedness, the laughs, the jumps and the true grose parts. In all, a great horror collection through and through.
If you didnt know, Evil Dead 1 was filmed on a ... ...imagination....i know!
Evil Dead 2 was then made on higher budget and a total cost of $3.5 million estimated. The special effects improved and the humour is still there as "Evil got into my hand so i lopped it off at the wrist.....". On of the ultimate quotes of our time! This is basically a glammed up version of the Evil Dead 1 to lead up to the blockbuster Evil Dead 3.

If you didnt know, Evil Dead 1 was filmed on a shoe-string budjet. Filmed by college students, it eventually cost a mere $350,000 (estimated), but the special effects in this film are like none other before and the camera workmanship is great. One thing though, was that this film was actually banned under the "Obscene Publications Act during 1983/4" due to it being a "video nasty". Containing a scene in which one of the characters was raped by a tree. It leaves alot to your imagination....i know!

Evil Dead 3 was the final contribution from Sam Raimi and is a great film to finish off the series. Evil Dead 3 : Army of Darkness is a outstanding film with some of the best one-liners EVER! You will just keep laughing for ever! Bruce Campbell delivers some of the best dialogue and takes the lead role for the 3rd time and cements himself as a horror legend Ash - "Shop Smart, shop S-mart". Truely hilarious! It is the "Block-buster" of the series as it cost an estimated $11 million dollars to make....

Being a limited edition, the series can be quite costly, but i managed to pay £13.99 for mine which i find magnificent value and for a film with so much history its well worth it and i would recommend it to anyone who loves comedys with a bit of gore! Overall, a total "fistful of boom-stick" for all those wanting a series of films for halloween to be scared...but also to bring a bucket full of laughs!
Advantages: Funny and not at all serious Disadvantages: None, if you like that sort of film
When i first heard of Evil Dead, i didn't know what to think.
So i bought the Limited Edition Trilgy DVD. Just to see what i thought.
And what i think, is that all 3 of the films are outstanding.
Evil Dead 1
I believe it was banned in some countries when it was originally released, and this is understandable from some of the cheap effects and gore used in the film. It is not so much the actual visuals of the film that would get it banned, it ... ...part in the film.
Evil Dead 2
I have to say, it is much the same as the first film. When i first watched it i honestly thought that i was watching the same film again. Then i realised it was ever so slightly different. The plot was exactly the same, but this was fine, because the films themselves were so funny and good. The effects were ever so slightly better but this doesnt really matter as the clay-animation was quite primitive and funny to ...

The evil dead trilogy is perhapse one of the greatest trilogies of all time and changed my life. befor watching these i had never even contemplated attaching a chainsaw to my arm where my hand had been. The first in the series is in my opinion the best cinematically and in plot. However number 2 is equaly enntertaining and nasty in places though for pure discustingnous i think a woman getting raped by a tree wins hands down.number three seems to ... ...believe everyone should be educated in the fine arts of Evil dead. After all theres nothing like sitting in on a sunday afternoon watch a film beer in one hand and bloody chainsaw in the other. the computer effects are not to todays standards but still are good to watch. ...

All 3 of the films is Sam Raimi's cult horror series, EVIL DEAD, are contained in this special collector's edition. The original, Raimi's first film, has achieved legendary status since its 1982 release, and for good reason. It is the story of five college-age friends who travel to a cabin in rural Tennessee where the stumble upon the Book of the Dead, an ancient tome bound in human flesh and inked in blood. After unwittingly awakening the unspeakable terror told of in the book, each of the friends is transformed into the evil dead, one by one, except for Ash (Bruce Campbell). So Ash is left with no other way to survive than to dismember the living corpses of his sister, girlfriend, and two of his friends. Shot on a shoestring budget, the film boasts some impressive camera work and extremely over the top gore effects. In the first sequel, EVIL DEAD 2, a group of people are trapped in a cabin while ancient evil lurks outside and threatens a fate worse than death. Can brawny wiseguy Ash save the day, or will his dead girlfriend come back to cause more trouble
