Although undeniably depressed, the lonesome small town country and ragged rock ofEverybody Loves a Winneradhere doggedly to the theory that no matter how bad things are, they could always be worse. Coupled with dusty back porch melodies, such tragic--and by the sound of his crumbled relationships and impending mental collapse--unfounded optimism, turns dead beat ballads like "I'm Sorry Sweet Emily" and "Goodbye" into heartbreaking tales from a world weary troubadour. "Everything Is Alright" may not be the typical lullaby with lines like "This old house is burning down in a blaze of gasoline / you've been writing out your suicide notes since you were thirteen" but in the comatose vocals and tinkling music box innocence there is sweetness and light. Similarly, "California" dreams of seeing his love one last time, and despite the exhaustingly slow chug, the suggestion is he'll probably make it, meanwhile the bleary-eyed stomp of "Another Breakdown" practically taunts his demons, with a "give it your best shot" sneer. Like an against the odds road movie,Everyone Loves a Winnertells the story of one man against the world, who's just about holding his own. ...As a hardcore Kitty fan I looked forward to watching this with my neice (5). Though she loved it and insisted on watching disc one a further 5 times in a row, as an adult fan I wasn't really that enthralled.
Firstly, in the animation, Kitty has a mouth!! OK, a minor point, but can take some getting used to (yes, I am a bit sad, aren't I) and the animation is not of the highest quality.
The other thing I didn't like was the sometimes patronising tone.
Having said that, this is wonderful for children. Each episode tries to teach something, from road safety, 'stranger danger' and similar themes, to good manners and social skills such as sharing, in an entertaining way. The 'message' of each episode is obvious (no subtlety here - annoying for adults, but good for young children). The stories are fairly well-written and often funny.

...I have always loved Friends so was delighted when i opened a christmas present from my boyfriend which was the entire boxset. The DVD come in a nice sturdy box and it is great to have them all in one, it makes a lovelycollector item and is a little bit more special than just buying the seasons ad-hoc.
There is not many extras though although there is the video of the theme tune (which I love).
I really enjoy friends and this got me through a very rough and boring time after a traffic accident I love the humor and the story lines, even though to some they might be a little exaggerated.
The characters are great and never fail to bring a smile to my face.
Pure light hearted entertainment and I would definitely recommend this to any Friends fans out there....

Advantages: You dont only get the movies and 7 other discs but a Neo bust aswell Disadvantages: The display cabinet is very cheap looking and can break easily
...could be said is the best animation film made in the last decade.
Personaly i dont think many people can withstand the force that the matrix trilogy has set before us, so this special collectors edition will just blow you away when you watch it....
