Advantages: Amusing, nice family movie, suitable for a range of ages, cheap on DVD Disadvantages: Some features poor on disc
...that made Pixar such a respected company in the field of animation. It’s simple, but still entertaining, and a nice extra feature that I’d like to see more of on other discs.
Other features, besides the complete set of out-takes previously mentioned, are very poor in quality. I personally don’t see the point of putting extra things on the disc, which are of an obvious lesser quality to the main feature, when all it does is drags the standard down reducing the overall impression of the product, which is, unfortunately, what has happened to this otherwise excellent disc.
--- Quality of Picture ---
All Pixar productions are transferred directly from the original digital computer to disk, meaning that the quality of picture is more than stunning. Providing you have a decent DVD player, you should see excellent results when...

Advantages: All-round fantastic film! Disadvantages: Probably won't get the recognition it so rightly deserves
...should split up.
After a night out drowning his sorrows at – unsurprisingly – The Winchester with Ed, Shaun wakes up the next day feeling a little bit worse for wear. He is in such a daze that when he goes out to the shop to buy a can of coke and a Cornetto, he fails to notice some very strange behaviour from the people in the street. Anyone bitten by one will die within a very short time, but will then come back to life as a zombie and become hell-bent on attacking anyone who is still living.
Despite warnings to stay inside, Shaun decides that he has to save his Mum (Penelope Wilton – “EverDecreasingCircles”), whom he was supposed to be visiting...

Advantages: Excellent movie and very good DVD extras Disadvantages: Some repetition of interviews
...an intrepid band of men, elves, dwarves and hobbits who must undertake a perilous journey in order to destroy a magical ring. Sauron, the Lord of Darkness and his minions (orcs, goblins, waugs, ogres and the nasty Nazgul) are intent on stopping this destruction.
The movie is an epic, with beautiful photography, great acting, wonderful sound and music and excellent special effects. It simply brings Tolkien’s world to vivid life.
The DVD extras are good generally consisting of several documentaries, a music video and some in depth featurettes. There is some repetition, but with over one and a half hours of features this does enhance the DVD.
This is simply a must for all DVD collectors.
My only gripe is that there is a 4-DVDcollection to be sold in a few months – what a con!!!
