Advantages: An excellent first DVD release by the band Disadvantages: Some fans may prefer recorded versions of the songs than the live ones
This is the CD/DVD release of the Fallen Tour, released in November 22, 2004. There are 13 live songs with the addition of a studio recorded unreleased song from the Fallen album as one of the many bonus materials. Every song on the Fallen album is sung in this DVD live with additions of Korn Cover Thoughtless, and the Fallen B-Sides: Breathe No More (Live), Farther Away (Live) and Missing (Bonus Studio recording). To date, the live album has sold ... ...CD format of the live event.
The first song performed is "Haunted". A song that is eerie and very mystical to listen to with its funky guitars and mixed eerie vocals of Amy Lee. This live version has an addition of an eerie introduction, made of loose guitars and then drums.
The second song is "Going Under." It is of a story of an abusive relationship that picks out and challenges the many obsessions and accusations committed. This live version ...

Advantages: Evanescence fans can experience that band live, bonus track Disadvantages: Audio recording is weak in places
...ways. If you're a die-hard Evanescence fan, it's a great way to experience the band live. If you just like the music, however, you may find the live recording isn't as impressive as the studio album, Fallen, since it isn't quite as polished and Lee's voice isn't perfect in places - sometimes barely picked up by the microphone. One thing that may disappoint all is that it's obvious that the band are playing to a backing track - at least the instruments ... ...is an old song by Evanescence that didn't make it to the Fallen album, which is a shame since it is a lively guitar track, similar to Haunted and Going Under.
Breathe No More is a song that featured on the Elektra soundtrack. It's a slow piano track like My Immortal, featuring some nice imagery e.g. "I've been looking in the mirror for so long that I've come to believe my soul's on the other side". The version on the live album, however, features ...

A decent release Review ofEvanescence - Anywhere But Home (+CD)by

Advantages: Great live show with good features and behind the scenes footage Disadvantages: Not that many things on the dvd, could have added more
I was looking forward to the release of this cd/dvd back in 2004, and when I bought it I watched it too many times to count, but then I was a very big fan. The dvd features a full live show, with the four music videos that had been released then, along with I think just under 2 hours of behind the scenes footage.
The concert was filmed in Paris, and although it was a good concert, with the band performing well, the filming was disappointing. The ... ...not hard to feel dizzy at times while watching the concert.
Despite this, the picture quality is still good, and the sound recorded well. This wasn't their best conert, but in comparison to say, the 20/10/03 in Cologne, you can really see the difference in quality from their performance. Definitely worth seeing.
The four videos were put onto the dvd, though that was it - no making of, even though they have been on the singles and around the internet.

...more of the stuff off their album Origin, but there are a few songs from it chucked in. Also a brilliant rendition of the Korn song 'Thoughtless', a bit slowed down and sung in a haunting way. This is a brilliant DVD, a must for all Evanescence and rock fans. ...
