I went to see Evan Almighty a few weeks ago now with a friend - we decided to go and see this film after rally enjoying bruce almighty and also liking the actor who plays Evan(Steve Carell) so thought it would be a good mix.
The film is directed by Tom Shadyac who also directed the first film 'bruce almighty' and a variety of other films such as 'liar liar', 'patch adams' , bruce almighty' and the more recently 'i now pronounce you chuck and larry'. These are all good comedy films so with this in mind i was hoping the film would be goodand just as funny as the first film!

The above are really the main cast we see throughout the film - the main characters obviously being Evan and God. Morgan freeman plays a great part in the role of god as he did during the first film and if you like steve carell, who has also been in the films 'the 40 year old virgin'', ''bruce almighty'' and ''little miss sunshine'' i thin you will ike this most recent film of his!
The story: The film follows Newsman Evan Baxter as he leaves newsreading to become a congressman after working with Bruce Nolan in the film ''bruce almighty'' and moves home to Virginia to start a new life whilst trying to ''change the world''. He makes a aprayer to god after moving into his new home and that swhen god starts toi send all these messages to him to tell him he needs to build this ark. Evan thinks he just under a lot of stress at first until he starts to realise all the clues god has been giving him are important so decides to listen to him - some great comic moments ensue especially where his family are concerned as they just don't understand why he is building this ark. Lots of good laughs and if you like animals you'll love this film as some comic moments too with the animals who occasionally pitch in to help him build the ark!!
This film is still showing at the cinemas at the moment and i would recommend anyone to go and see - especially families as it has something for everyone
