European Touring Car Championship 1985 DVD

Advantages: Re live a glorious European semi-final from the 80's
Disadvantages: It makes you sad we aren't this good anymore!

..., British Championship winners & British Club Champions, as well as the European Cup Winners' Cup title added in 1985. The clubs most successful eras have been the 1930's, 60's and 80's, the latter two being largely dominated by the club. I was fortunate enough to grow up during one of the clubs most successful era's, the only negative being that I have had to endure over 20 years of dross and sadness since, as the club have declined and are quite possibly playing the worst football in the 125+ year history .... great !! Anyway, this DVD is a great way to re-live one of Everton's past glories, with many of the players involved from the era sighting this particular game as their greatest moment in an Everton shirt. Advantages: Race coverage, commentary, EXCITEMENT!!!!
Disadvantages: Not many driver interviews

...I have been following the BTCC since 1998, and I have to say that it is now more exciting than it has EVER been!!. The 2004 BTCC season saw the closest title battle ever known, against the VX Racing team mates. The BTCC always produces wheel to wheel and bumper to bumper racing action!!, and the 2004 season is no exception to this fact!!. There is also some excellent on-board race footage!!. The BTCC DVD does dissapoint when it comes to Extras on the DVD, however this DVD also contains the BTCC Masters race, which was a one off race where past BTCC legends, such as Alain Menu, John Cleland, Kelvin Burt, Tim Harvey and many many more, were reunited, and what a fantastic race it was too!!. The race coverage is excellent!!, with every single race covered (The BTCC is made up of 3 races per event). Do not miss your opportunity... Read review

Advantages: Great concert, good DVD extras

...the 1980s and the immense popularity they had in those days, yet they still look as sexy as ever-- Morten and Paul still look the same, and Magne has definitely improved with age. a-ha did briefly split up in the mid 1990s but reformed for the Nobel Peace Prize Concert in 1998, and decided to work together as a band again. The result of this was the Minor Earth Major Sky album in 2000, which I will also be reviewing at some point. This DVD is a recording of the final concert on the tour for that album, in March 2001 at the Vallhall stadium in Oslo. A "Homecoming" indeed. Since Minor Earth Major Sky, a-ha have released two further albums, Lifelines and Analogue. Analogue, which was released in the UK in early 2006, was heavily promoted in the UK and the first single from it, Analogue, made the top 10. It had much greater success... Read review
