Advantages: Cheerful, often funny, children's programme Disadvantages: none
...I was given this DVD for christmas in the year it came out (2005), and I have to say I was pretty excited to get it as Charlie Chalk, from what I could remember of it, was always one of my favourite children's programmes. I think it was the happy-go-lucky clown, the theme tune, and all the bright colours that did it for me! And i'd say my excitement was justified as it is still as good now as it was all those years ago.
Charlie Chalk is a children's animation from the mid 80's, was created by Ivor Wood, and comes from the producers of Postman Pat. Charlie is voiced by Michael Williams, the late husband of Dame Judi Dench. Advantages: Entertaining Disadvantages: A little too adult in places compared to previous offerings

Richie gets Eddie to touch the bills so he gets his prints on them. Eddie takes them away to the back room and then we meet the first guest again. Edward wants to know why there is no waiter in the restaurant. Rik goes searching for Pascal but cannot find him...

Advantages: A magical film with a wonderful story. Disadvantages: None.
...Burton's favourite actor, and you can see why, and this film was the start of their long collaboration together. The man puts himself deep into a role and draws out the very essence at the core of the character. Depps facial expressions bring this character to life with his child like qualities and contrast of dark creation. Burton mixes tragedy with comedy expertly and the right balance is evident here. The setting of middle class American suburbia works extremely well with the Gothic fairy tale instruction. The film has a magical quality about it, an uplifting feel and with Johnny Depp at the helm he gives Edward Scissorhands a charm and accessibility. At the end of the day though this is no ordinary man and can a person who doesn't really belong in this new environment exist and function within it?
The skill which Burton gives Edward...
