I was browsing a collection of DVD's at my sisters house the other day when I came across this film. From the cover it just seemed to look like a hilarious comedy, which I thought would be great as it would help me recover from the heat wave which has just swept through London.
Chup Chup Ke is a superb family film with both comedy and drama. Jeetu (played by Shahid Kapoor) is in major debt, after borrowing more than 14 lakh rupees of strangers and all his business ideas failing he only has two options...

Advantages: More content than you could ask for, fantastic performance Disadvantages: Two of the best songs aren't performed but merely video's shown on the screens to a playback
...with Evanescence's Ben Moody, Everything Burns and the duet with Eros Ramazotti on I Belong To You (Il Ritmo Della Passione).
Overall I wouldn't class this as a mere music DVD but a music extraveganza. Definately recommended to all fans of Anastacia and certainly the 1st disc to all lovers of feisty women performers. My copy has already been lent to many of my friends....

Advantages: Preity Zinta! Disadvantages: a real tear-jerker
...the "previous owner's" dreams and characteristics and tastes. This is what seemed to come across here. The new owner of the heart falls madly in love with the same guy the first heart owner loves. She is drawn to the same people as friends, she has the same tastes and designs model hospital exactly the way the first owner would have. The guy she loves is also somehow drawn to her but he can't understand why as he doted on his wife and no one else is going to get near to taking her place. Are we to believe all these things are due to the heart having a life and mind of its own? Oh well, it was only a film, mustn't dwell on it!
WHERE TO GET IT
I bought my copy of this film on VHS for £1.99 from erosentertainment.com (and I was very pleased that it had subtitles or I would have been somewhat stumped). I would warn anyone buying VHS films from Eros...

Review: Sharply written and extremely funny (Hotdog, 03/11/2006)
Advantages: In the style of classic Argento Disadvantages: Runs out of steam
...role as the girlfriend a lot less redundant than it so easily could have been. They're an attractive, believable couple and the film benefits from their chemistry.
Eros Puglielli's (ALL THERE IS TO KNOW) direction is slick and assured - the cop scenes are crisply edited in a TV drama-type way (the opening chase scene is all erratic editing and shaky camera movements akin to NYPD Blue) while the murder scenes are stylish and considered, evoking Dario Argento's better Giallo moments.
While there are a few holes in the plot and things ultimately turn towards the implausible, EYES OF CRYSTAL is the best Italian Giallo horror-thriller in recent memory.
DISC:
Revolver's release presents the film uncensored in it's original 1.85:1 aspect ratio. The image has been enhanced for 16x9 TV sets. Picture quality is, as you'd expect...
