Introduction This is the cult classic short and near silent film with very little dialogue, written and directed by Eric Sykes, starring Eric Sykes and Tommy Cooper, and of course "The Plank" The Plot Here is a short overview of the plot, I will not give too much away as it would spoil it for anyone seeing it for the first time. The storyline is very simple in that Eric Sykes and Tommy Cooper are two inept workmen laying floorboards in a newbuild house, only to find that they are one board short to finish the job, as Eric Sykes has used it for firewood, so they go to the woodyard to get another one. This song has been covered by many artists, although many in slightly different forms, but it is a classic blues song in terms of the lyrics, taking many lines that are wrapped into many songs. Sykes cottages 'Don't care attitude' Again!

Advantages: None
Disadvantages: Inaccurate descriptions, no trusts that inspections are carried out adequately, unclean etc

We booked a cottage through Sykes cottages in Wales and found the property owners lived in the basement - they could hear everything we were doing. This was not explained in the brochure and when we queried it before arriving - problems with arranging key collection made us suspicious - we were told not to be so silly and of course the owners didn't live at the property. In addition to this the property was not up to scratch - not clean (the worst being blood found under toilet seat), antiquated heating system, inadequate smoke alarms, strange things happening with electrics etc. To top it all we also found fleas throughout the property that left us with numerous bites to our legs - the property was advertised as pet free but the owners used the property during the winter and had a dog!
