...many others supporting the Band itself, such as The Staples, Eric Clapton, Emmilou Harris, and minor appearances by Ringo Starr and Ronnie Wood for the grand finale, when they playied all together what at that time had become a National anthem: "I Shall Be Released" (by B. Dylan). They all showed up to pay their tributes to a group of musicians, The Band, that over the years had gained respect and honour both supporting with an unparalleld style Bob Dylan's concerts and records (Planet Waves), and proposing their own simple, original and straight to the core rock music model by means of well renown hits such as "The Weight", "The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down", "The Shape I'm In" and others.
