The DVD menu opens by way of an excerpt from the concert to come. The crowd is panned over by the camera, towards the stage where EricClapton is playing his familiar guitar riffs from "Badge". When you hear this, you know there is going to be some great music on this DVD, believe me, there is!
These choices are self explanatory really:
· Play / Resume · Is for playing the concert immediately or resuming the concert from the point you were last at.
· Songs · Takes you to the list of songs available in the concert.

...many others supporting the Band itself, such as The Staples, EricClapton, Emmilou Harris, and minor appearances by Ringo Starr and Ronnie Wood for the grand finale, when they playied all together what at that time had become a National anthem: "I Shall Be Released" (by B. Dylan).
They all showed up to pay their tributes to a group of musicians, The Band, that over the years had gained respect and honour both supporting with an unparalleld style Bob Dylan's concerts and records (Planet Waves), and proposing their own simple, original and straight to the core rock music model by means of well renown hits such as "The Weight", "The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down", "The Shape I'm In" and others.

Before watching the DVD, it is important to understand how the event came about.
In 1984, after seeing a news bulletin on the millions of people dying from the much publicised famine in Africa, lead singer of the Irish pop band The Boomtown Rats colluded with Midge Ure, lead singer of 80's pop band Ultravox, and brought together a group of well known musical artists to record a charity record. It was called "Do They Know It's Christmas?" The record remained at No.1 in the music charts for many weeks, and it was following the success of the record that the duo decided to put together a one-off concert to take place the following summer.
