There, you have approximately 89 minutes of a superbly performed concert. The DVD is region coded for 2/3/4/5/6, so will play on all regions EXCEPT region 1 players. The picture format is in 4.3 PAL fullscreen.
The sound quality in any one of the available settings, is impeccable as far as I can hear. That says a lot for some concerts or live performances don't come across so well. This one exceeds I think.

The Title
~~~~~~
Just a quick explanation for my title of this opinion. You can't teach an old dog new tricks, so they say. With EricClapton, you don't need to. Advantages: Great music, superb musicianship Disadvantages: Some editing and picture quality not five-star
...It is impossible to review this item fairly without some background.
Ever since I saw Rory and an early Taste (with Norman Damery and Eric Kitteringham) at the Woburn Abbey Festival in 1968, when, in my opinion, he absolutely blew an off-form Jimi Hendrix off the stage, I followed his career avidly, as I did those of EricClapton, Peter Green, BB King, Otis Rush and many other great blues players. I saw him play nearly 40 times and while I do not claim to have known him well, he always remembered my name, shared many a pint in the Ship in Wardour Street next to the old Marquee and we had a great evening and meal in Salisbury.
Hardly ever did I think that Rory's recorded output came anywhere near his live work, except for, perhaps, Irish Tour '74 (which was, of course, live!), which was recorded on film by Tony Palmer. Some love...
..." The concert is well filmed, it was a live concert and it was something that had never been achieved before pushing all boundries in a live satellite television broadcast so please remember this when you watch it. This is history being made.
