Epic Movie/Date Movie DVD

Advantages: 2 films in 1
Disadvantages: The films themselves are just plain terrible

...any more shelf space! Epic Movie was a complete mishmash of spoofs, far to many to hold anytype of story, let alone comedy, Jumping from the magical remote control of "click" the lion sleeping with the children from "narnia" and Charlie's chocolate factory. The humour felt too forced and focused more on getting a reaction (which in my opinion was 99% bad) rather than the actual art of a clever spoof. I lost count after about 10 films, what they ...
...memorable, was not believable. I think this film by itself was marketed wrong. Being linked to all the "great spoof films" isn't as accurate as purhaps just a lighthearted look on romance films. Overall Epic movie got from me, 1/10 where as date movie would have been about 4/10. ... Read review

Advantages: It's short
Disadvantages: Terrible jokes, lame acting, devoid of any originality

...I don't know what I was thinking but there was a morbid curiosity that came over me. No I hadn't just been handed a snuff film, instead I added Epic Movie to my rental queue. Yes that's right after being burned by the abomination that is Date Movie, I still felt it my duty to witness another cinema car crash. All I can say is that I've taken one for the team, it was the only way to save you, the reader from suffering this terrible fate. Epic Movie is from the same team that brought you Date Movie, a film so bad that even Ed Wood was rolling in his grave. But I don't how they done it but they've managed to make another that is actually worse. Just as Date Movie lamely spoofed the rom-com genre, Epic Movie pokes fun at those epic fantasy adventures like Narnia and Lord of the Rings. Except it doesn't it merely hands a loose plot...
