...funny in what you hear, Epic Movie does not fall into either category. I try to be adult and not fill my reviews with bad language or offensive material; however this movie is one that I hold no restraint over. In fact I'd go as far as to say that the person that actually enjoyed this movie (and I know there is at least one) is the biggest f**cking idiot on the face of this earth. Epic Movie angers me so much I literally snapped my pen that I have ... ...that were the Zuckers.
Epic Movie for the most part spoofs scenes from comedy movies that the first time round worked, if something works why try to fix it? I honestly believe we would not have found this type of movie funny even 30 years ago, before this style of spoof comedy existed. I feel personally that the movie has created injustices against movies like Dumb & Dumber which worked; and more distressingly the new younger generation are excepting ...

Advantages: It's short Disadvantages: Terrible jokes, lame acting, devoid of any originality
...snuff film, instead I added Epic Movie to my rental queue. Yes that's right after being burned by the abomination that is Date Movie, I still felt it my duty to witness another cinema car crash. All I can say is that I've taken one for the team, it was the only way to save you, the reader from suffering this terrible fate.
Epic Movie is from the same team that brought you Date Movie, a film so bad that even Ed Wood was rolling in his grave. But ... ...lamely spoofed the rom-com genre, Epic Movie pokes fun at those epic fantasy adventures like Narnia and Lord of the Rings. Except it doesn't it merely hands a loose plot on Narnia and then throws in any other movie that came out and was a success. So what you get is a Borat lookalike in a mankini copying Borat, there's no reason for this apart from the fact that Borat was funny, therefore someone copying him and saying the same line must be equally ...

Advantages: Not Many, a few funny moments Disadvantages: Very weak plot
Epic Movie, well not really that Epic I can tell you. THE FILM
The film starts by us meeting 4 orphans, Edward, Peter, Lucy and Susan who all win golden tickets to go to a chocolate factory. When they arrive at this factory they soon discover they are there as the mad owner wants to use their body parts in his chocolate bars. The children run to hide from the crazy man and soon discover a magical wardrobe. As they go through the wardrobe they enter ... ...Audio Stream "Breaking Wind an Epic Journey into the Sounds of an Epic Movie" Commentary

Why I did not like the film.
The comedy was altogether far too predictable and the lines were rather cheap shots

DVD Description
From Jason Friedberg and Aaron Setzer (DATE MOVIE, SCARY MOVIE) comes this everything-in-the-kitchen-sink, blender-set-to-grind comedy, which pokes fun at big crowd-pleasers like WILLIE WONKA AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY, CHRONICLES OF NARNIA, SNAKES ON A PLANE, PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN, X-MEN, NACHO LIBRE, and THE DA VINCI CODE, among others. The loose plot involves a gang of teen orphans whose trip inside Wonka’s candy factory leads them to a Narnia-style wardrobe adventure. Jennifer Coolidge is the evil White Bitch they have to tangle with in this new land, and Fred Willard plays Aslo, the lion. Scene-stealing Crispin Glover plays the Wonka-be, David Carradine breakdances, and the vivacious Carmen Elektra morphs enticingly in her X-MEN-style blue body paint. A bevy of eerie look-alikes pose as Paris Hilton, Anna Paquin, Samuel Jackson, and P Diddy, among others. Of course there’s raunch a-plenty to keep the MTV generation of all ages amused. The jokes come so fast that no one need worry if a gag here falls flat: another one is right behind to jump on its back.
