...Nunchaku master, the Snake fist fighter, the Wing chun expert and a master of the mystic art of Silat. After defeating all the opponents in this "Tower of death" Le must now face the might of Bolo. But we already know the outcome! :o)

Like Bruce Lee's famous "Game of Death", this character enters a pagoda building where every floor is guarded by a fighter that is supossedly the master of a particular style of martial arts. That includes the Nunchaku master, the Snake fist fighter, the Wing chun expert and a master of the mystic art of Silat. After defeating all the opponents in this "Tower of death" Le must now face the might of Bolo. But we already know the outcome! :o)

First time I watched this film I was about 9 years old and I thought I was watching Bruce Lee because that's how it was passed as on TV. Many years later I had this memory of seeing a film where Bruce Lee takes on a whole banch of people (like he always does!) in a level-structured style. So when I saw this DVD I bought it immediately... (Why Lord! Tell me why?!)

It's funny because I already knew there where a lot of Bruce Lee lookalikes out there who even had similar names, like Bruce Lai and Bruce Loe, but these people proved masters of disguise naming their star Bruce Le...and having the cheek to even put him in the famous yellow tight suit....What's even worse, the sounds of "woooaw" and "eeeeee" (and all the roaring sounds that these people make when they fight anyway) are the actual voice overs that Bruce Lee had made in his films...
So yes, I was disappointed that the film I always remembered as a rare Bruce Lee film was actually a well wrapped fake, despite the fact that the DVD actually says in the synopsis that this is Bruce Le...

Why would you want to buy this film? Erm... well... erm... hmmm...well... erm... acutally... don't buy it! :o)
Well for one, if you are a Bruce Lee fan then you get to see the real story that Bruce Lee had in mind. You also get to see the real location and a concept that, if shot properly, could (that's a COULD) have been a nice martial arts film. The dialogs and the voices are funny at times (when they are meant to be serious!) but that happens in almost every asian film that is dubbed in english, and if you can get past this fact then there are some good fighting scenes in there... or maybe just acrobatics. In any case, you will laugh a lot!
And last, if you're buying this for your kids, they will love it. It's the idea of someone fighting his way through a tower of super-duper-killer fighters just by using his kung fu skills...
