This film was released in 1973, the same year Bruce Lee died. This film was originally going to be called 'Blood and Steel', but Bruce demanded the new name. He finally got what he wanted.
Bruce plays Mr. Lee, the top student at a Shaolin temple who is asked to perform a task for a Government Agency. Mr Braithwaite (Geoffrey Weeks) asks Lee to take part in a martial arts tournament to be held on a sinister private island in international waters off the coast of Hong Kong. Lee's mission is to expose Han's opium smuggling and prostitution racket, and to find evidence so that the authorities can take action. Han is also a former Shaolin student, and now runs a martial arts school on his island as a cover for his criminal activities.
Also entering the tournament are Roper, Williams and Parsons. Roper is played by John Saxon, and is entering the tournament in the hope of winning prize money to pay off his gambling debts owed to the mob. Williams (Jim Kelly) is on the run after beating the hell out of two racist cops who have been harassing him. And Parsons (Peter Archer) is an arrogant redneck bully who soon learns not to underestimate small Chinese men. (Lee soon teaches him the error of his ways).
Upon arrival at Han's island, we meet more of the main cast. Tania (Ahna Capri) is Han's mistress, and Roper falls in love at first sight. There is also Han's huge bodyguard Bolo (Yeung Sze). Later on, we also meet one of Braithwaite's female operatives, Mei Ling (Betty Chung).
The film continues to show impressive scenes of martial arts, most of which Bruce Lee choreographed himself. Lee does eventually discover Han's underground network, (though it does take two attempts). Han, impressed with Roper, also reveals his operation to him, and asks him to join Han in his activities.
The finale is a mass battle between Han's men versus Roper and Lee. Providing aid, Mei Ling releases prisoners kept in the underground network. While the prisoners keep Han's men busy, Lee chases Han to his museum. Entering a 'maze of mirrors', this is where Han and Lee fight to the death.
The acting in this film would never win an Oscar, and the dialogue is a little cheesy at times. Lee also seems to struggle with his English at times. However, the action sequences are expertly choreographed by Bruce Lee, and you will be hard pushed to find a film which exceeds the quality of martial arts skill. With plenty of fighting and a tense atmosphere, this legendary martial arts fest certainly packs a punch.
This is the Special Edition version of the DVD, and is available uncut for the first time in Britain. It shows the previously 'lost' Bruce Lee monk scene, and also the uncut nunchaku fight sequence in Han's underground network.

Advantages: Every scene is exciting Disadvantages: none, its an amazing movie
Enter the dragon is certainly one of the best movies that has been ever made based on kung fu and other martial arts. This movie deals with bruce lee leaving his temple of martial arts to go and enter a tournament. During this tournament bruce finds out that there is something fishy going on. He finds an underground base where prisoners are ebing held, later he also comes to know that one of his friends who was in the tournament has been killed by ... ...he ends up beating everyone who came in his way. At the end of the movie bruce defends himself against the vicious claws of the main villain and that too inside a mirror maze.
This movie has so much drama, action, romance, and evrything essential for a movie and in proper ratios. This movie is certainly one of the best movies that I've ever seen in my entire life starring my idol................Bruce Lee. ...

Wow......What can you say about this film.....Superb, Classic, Lee at his best? You decide. All i can say is that the film is one of his best and of course well known films.
Lee is sent to han's island on a mission, however he has a more impotant motive, to avenge his sisters death! Lee is superb in this film, his usual martial art magic really!
If you have not seen this film, my god, where have you been? Get it, watch it!! ...

Jammed packed with loads of extras including a brilliant documentary called "Curse Of The Dragon". Lots of info and rare footage of the legend who brought his lightning speed agility and skill to the western world and put the word "Kung Fu" in our dictionaries.

Advantages: Good fighting Disadvantages: Poor acting
Bruce Lee is still one of the best martial artists out there even though he is dead, I think his films are the best fighting films you can watch. The acting is usually poor, but you dont watch Bruce Lee films for the acting do you? In my opinion all bruce lee films are good, however this is the best one, he is sent to a martial arts contest to gather some information while taking part in the contest at the same time, it is tense and action packed ...

Advantages: Amazing fighting Disadvantages: Not the best acting, but who needs it.
Enter the Dragon (1973) was Bruce Lee's first (and only) solo big Hollywood production. Too bad he never got to see the fruits of his labor. He passed away during the film's post production (don't fret, two more official Bruce Lee films were made after this one. Despite all of the years of hard work and finally making it to the big times, he wasn't around long enough to enjoy it. Even though Robert Clouse is credited as director and another person ... ...out you'll have to watch Enter The Dragon!!!!
Bruce Lee worked a great deal on this picture. He wrote most of the screenplay (uncredited), filmed all of the action scenes (uncredited) and directed several scenes (uncredited). Lam Ching-Ying, Angela Mao, Jackie Chan and Bolo Yeung appear in this film. If you haven't seen this film already then you're either a kid, lame or something is wrong with you. Highly recommended. ...

Advantages: great storyline and actors, the fighting scenes are EXELLENT!!!!!!!!!!!! Disadvantages: It was a bit slow to start.
Hi,
So, Bruce Lee Staring in my all time favourite Enter The Dragon.
I love this film and the reason being is because the storyline is great and the fighting scenes are excellent, well . . . I suppose you would expect that from the man proven to be the worlds fittest man, highly trained in martial arts.
If you are into martial arts then this is definitely the film for you I personally recommend the specialedition specifically because it has hidden scenes in it that you just cant find anywhere.
BUT . . . I don't like the way the film starts, am not going to go into too much detail and spoil it for you but you may need to have a little patients for the first five or ten minutes as it's a bit slow.

Advantages: THE ORIGINAL AND THE BEST OF ALL LEE MOVIES Disadvantages: WOULD HAVE BEEN BETTER ON 1 DISC ONLY.
The original and best of all Bruce Lee's movies this one is timeless. Enter the Dragon was the one that put Lee on the map and sent him to superstar cult status.
A classic this one has everything and has set the standard for many a martial art epic for many years since.
The fight scenes are still fresh and awesome with Lee showing his genuine martial art ability and unmatched speed and agility.
Despite knowing the storyline and format I quickly found myself willing Lee on towards the fight scenes as they truly are tremendous.
The background music and bizzare fashions of the early 1970's only add to the cult that Lee championed and brings you back to the kung-fu boom of the era.
Enter the Dragonspecialedition is the one to own to sum up Bruce Lee's dynamic and stand alone career.
