Advantages: Bruce Lee's real voice Disadvantages: possibly outdated sixties feeling now
...Great peice of martial arts work, showing the legendry Bruce Lee,Master of his own self styled, Jeet Kun Do possibly at his best.
Co star John Saxon also puts in a great performance, all be it,using more conventional martial arts technics.
The Basics of the story,
Evil Martial arts Master Han,Holds an annual martial arts competition for the best in the world to come and compete,on his own private island,
As with all Evil masters there is a secondary reason for this,he is hoping to recrute, envoys to trade is opium worldwide and control the global drugs scene,
British intelligance have already suspected his potential plans, and aswell as having an undercover agent in camp, they recruit Lee to enter the competition, and alert them to Hans full potential.
A bit slow to get going, but all is worth while, as it does,
Where as most martial art films...

Advantages: Fantastic Bruce Lee action film Disadvantages: Chinese philosophy is a bit cheesy - watered down for western audience.
...Enter the Dragon on DVD is totally uncut, showing all the martial arts scenes in full....many not seen in the TV film. The film was first shown in 1973. Sadly this was Bruce Lees final film, and many feel his best. Bruce passed away age 32 before the film was released so never knew the impact this film would have on fans.
The film was shot in Asia, and directed by US director Robert Clouse. The opening music score is by Lala Schifrin (Mission impossible etc)
The film was Lees entree into Hollywood. The dubbing isn't fabulous, and the storyline simple, even the Chinese philosopy seems cheesy, but this was made for the American audience, at a time when martial arts was not as popular as it is nowdays.
John Saxon and Jim Kelly and Ahna Capri co star in this film, and a lot of time is given to their own issues, but once at the island...

...Enter The Dragon is another film based on the Marshal Artist Bruce Lee. I personally think that this film consits of excellent performance from all characters and especially, Bruce Lee's best performance. People who may be worried in showing this film to the children - the certificate is only an 18 because of the violence. The first time I watched this film I was glued to my seat because I was so amazed how Bruce Lee fought all of the people in the film. You may want to buy it on DVD I am not sure, but it is often shown on the television so you could record it off that. If you love Bruce Lee go for it and buy it, if not I would recommend to record it off the television....
