This was Bruce Lee's first an only American collaborated film, and a good one at that. Lee plays Mr Lee, an agent who must enter a martial arts tournament so he can prove that the tournament host Han, is feeding drugs to women and then selling them all round the world. As well as Mr Lee and Han you have two other main characters, Williams played by Jim Kelly, whose entered the tournament to escape the racism he's suffering from his home and Roper played by John Saxon whose entered the tournament because of serious debts and he could do with the money.
A well written story for it's time, as well as a good overall plot, you have some interesting sub plots. It's also quite funny as well as serious. Fight scenes as with all Bruce Lee films stand out, immaculately choreographed as always. Sound effects, soundtrack, dubbing and camera angles are poor, but you don't really watch martial arts film for that now do you?
Cast is well balanced with Lee of course standing out as Mr Lee, Saxon is creditable as Roper and Kelly is satisfactory as Williams. Shih Kien is convincing as the power hungry Han.
Overall you got a poorly made film by today's standards, with a good story with some funny bits. (Particularly Williams' afro!). If your a big martial arts fan, then this is not perhaps as good as Lee's other films, but still good enough to watch.
